Be nice. I seen several of Anitfrodis's Our Gang shorts and did a great job editing music in them. Kinda gave it a Fantasia feel to them. ogf, I would have to agree with Zoot. I'm just a hack compared to "ThatOldGangOfMine". His "restoration" work on the Our Gang silents makes my stuff look like "homemade restorations". I wonder what "ThatOldGangOfMine" will post next? "The Smile Wins" maybe? Or how about "Your Own Backyard"?

What's this? Someone posted a version of the rare Our Gang silent film "Telling Whoppers" on Youtube. It's in two parts and has been edited together using 3 different sources for the film. There doesn't seem to be any soundtrack, but heck, where else are you going to see this rare film? I certainly hope this person posts some more Our Gang silent films to Youtube! Enjoy! You have a good point, ymym. Actually, a lot of people that watched the videos weren't from the message boards. Still, most people here would probably appreciate them more. I had upgraded several of the films since my Youtube postings, so a new post of the films would probably be better anyhow. I may create a new account and post the films there.

The brief clips I put up are still there. That's probably because you didn't list "Our Gang" or "Little Rascals" in the video title. Nor do your films have titles that are the same as the original titles. I guess I could post my films with no mention of OG or LR. However, then no one would find them. There's a bunch of Mischief Makers films on Youtube as well that someone else posted. They're tricky to find, but "Ten Years Old", "Big Business" and a couple others are still up.

Hey all,
I no longer have any Our Gang silent films on Youtube, nor will I be posting any more. They keep getting pulled due to copyright infringement. None of the Our Gang films I currently had on Youtube were under copyright, but there's no easy way to contest this.
I will keep working on the silent films, but unfortunately, they won't appear online any longer.

Part 2 will be delayed. We have new footage so I'm going to redo my edit in the near future. I will also replace part 1 when my updated edit is ready.

Wow! Those sound legit to me. Unfortunately, I don't have much of the footage where they belong. There are a couple that I think I know where they belong though, so maybe I'll add them sometime. Thanks!

Hey all, Here's a version of "The Love Bug" that I edited together using 3 different sources. Unfortunately, the film is still far from complete, but it does contain a few scenes and intertitles that you won't find on the "Mischief Makers" version that has been going around. A new soundtrack has been added as well. Special thanks to James for his help. Enjoy! Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ha5WctGRsEPart 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADr3paBCQko

Hopefully Laughsmith will release their set soon. I personally can't wait to see what they have to offer. I've been working with a few friends over the past year doing homemade restorations of the Our Gang silents. We've managed to piece together complete, or nearly complete, versions of a few of the films, as well as adding scenes to others that have been missing from the typically available versions. The films certainly aren't remastered, and are, in many cases, still incomplete. However, they are better than whatever else is currently available to the public. If you're going to wait for 100% complete, perfect copies of these films to show up, you may be waiting forever. You'd also be missing out on some of the best Our Gang films ever made! Here's a link to my Youtube page. www.youtube.com/user/AntifrodisIf you want to see a complete Our Gang silent, the films "The Buccaneers" and "It's a Bear" are most likely complete and generally of good quality.

The same people had me remove my posting of "Ask Grandma". That one is NOT under copyright. However, trying to argue with Youtube is a complete waste of time. So I removed several of the films that I had posted. I'm still waiting for them to shut down my account, but so far, so good. Other than the Beau Hunks music, the Our Gang films I have on my account are all public domain. I post the Our Gang silents because they're unavailable elsewhere, and I take a lot of time out to add footage/soundtrack/titles where possible. I just want people to be able to view these great films, until something better (Laughsmith set???) comes along.

Hey all, Here's an edit of "Giants Vs Yanks" that I put together recently, using two different sources. If you're familiar with the film, then you should be seeing some scenes here that you may not have seen before. Part 1 is up and part 2 should be ready in a few days. Here's a link... www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6GlBxkCFV4Special thanks to James and Bob for their help! Enjoy!

Do the three silents have the original opening titles or Blackhawk titles?

I met Mike Gibbins at a Beatle fest in Chicago as well. He was very cool. He was surprised when I told him I came there just to see him and that I liked Badfinger more than the Fab Four. I've also met Joey Molland on several occasions, and contrary to all the negativity labeled on him, he was the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet each time. Very grateful for the fans that showed up to see him.
