Can someone please furnish the name of the cake episode? The one where the kids baked all kinds of stuff into it and it made noise??

Thanks a million--it's one of the more memorable episodes from my childhood--now I can look for it by name.

You're welcome.
It's on Volume 10 of the Cabin Fever VHS series, or "Volume 9&10" on DVD.

Is this the number one question asked here or what? Evidence to its greatness, I would say.

I thought the name of the cake episode was "Ten Years Old".

I guess Birthday Blues was a reworking, talkie version of Ten Years Old (which was a silent episode made a few years earlier). Right? Can anyone confirm? Anyway, I love that episode and unforgettable sounds of the cake being baked and frosted (notice my avatar and screen name).

Birthday Blues was a reworking of Ten Years Old, however, elements of it also appear in the 1929 "Rainy Days". I just uploaded Rainy Days onto Youtube. It's sort of the same thing except with wallpaper paste and all the stuff (rubber snakes, hot water bottles, etc.) pop out of the wall after it's papered! www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V5lxLu9bXk&feature=channel

The birthday cake idea comes from "Ten Years Old" and the little-kid-pretending-to-be-Pete-under-the-table idea comes from "Rainy Days." However, the birthday idea with the father neglecting the mother comes from "Jubilo, Jr."
