Post an anagram made by rearranging the letters in the name of any Our Gang actor, character or short title. Whoever works out the correct answers gets to post the next anagram.
I'll go first:
MY MAGPIES LOC

I thought the anagrams had to be real words. "COL" could be used in place of "LOC". Anyway,
MY MAGPIES LOC = OLYMPIC GAMES
Now,
GIFT HER FRIES

|

I cheated: Loc is the Romanian word for Place. But yes, a col (mountain valley/gap) would have been a better choice.
GIFT HER FRIES = FIRE FIGHTERS
now,
VENEER HIS STY, FASTER

VENEER HIS STY, FASTER = THE FIRST SEVEN YEARS
And since we are allowed punctuation and you mentioned a sty,
TALK, MY TAIGA HOG

TALK, MY TAIGA HOG = MIGHTY, LAK A GOAT
now

BOTH MARY'S TREES = THREE SMART BOYS
FIREFLY HAMMERS OVEN

|
|

FIREFLY HAMMERS OVEN (which kept me puzzled for quite a while) = EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF
Next FIT OLD POND FART

And some take me two days. Didn't help that I was fixated on film titles.
FIT OLD POND FART = DONALD PROFFITT
VET OMITS BEER

And some take me two days. Didn't help that I was fixated on film titles. FIT OLD POND FART = DONALD PROFFITTVET OMITS BEERI realised that we'd been using only titles, so that was why I decided to be sneaky and use a person's name. VET OMITS BEER = BETTER MOVIES
Next
JOEL'S NON LUNCH
|
|
|
Post by RJH on Mar 21, 2018 21:51:55 GMT -5
JOEL'S NON LUNCH = CULLEN JOHNSON after trying John Collum and Uncle L Johnson.
NOSY GECKO HURLS

|
|

NOSY GECKO HURLS = YOUNG SHERLOCKS
Now
MAGIC MY POLES

Should there be a rule about not repeating? That's OLYMPIC GAMES again.

Should there be a rule about not repeating? That's OLYMPIC GAMES again. HYPE NOTED NECKWhy limit the available choices by only allowing each to be used once? Several names, characters and titles have more than one usable anagram, we may as well make use of them, plus it keeps people on their toes and they can't assume that just because an answer has been used once that it won't be used again. HYPE NOTED NECK = KENNEDY THE COPnext O' THE HOLY GRASS
|
|
|
Post by RJH on Mar 23, 2018 21:38:33 GMT -5
O' THE HOLY GRASS = THE OL' GRAY HOSS
The apostrophe gives it away.
TROOPS HIRING THEMSELVES

O' THE HOLY GRASS = THE OL' GRAY HOSSThe apostrophe gives it away. TROOPS HIRING THEMSELVES Punctuation: commas, apostrophes etc that aren't in the original words are also allowed, if they help the anagram to make more grammatical sense. However if any are present in the original words then they must be included in any anagrams made from those words. TROOPS HIRING THEMSELVES = VIOLET PERSHING SMOTHERS but whether that's the correct answer or not I have no idea. I have no idea who she is but I can't find any Our Gang actors, characters or titles that I'm aware of with the combination of letters that you set.
