It would probably fit better in the favorite YouTube videos thread.

Although I'm not especially fond of Jackie Cooper, because he was brought into Our Gang as Harry's replacement, I do like this photo because it's a good pose and the stool is just such a perfect example of Art Deco style.

I also like this photo of Jackie because it dates from his Our Gang days and I've got it. Ironically there is also a photo of Harry Spear taken standing on the same carpet in front of the same wall.

Some say that the originals are always best. I dunno cos I haven't seen enough of the earliest Our Gang movies to really make a judgement but I think that most eras of Our Gang had their high points and their low points, some just had more low points than others and we all know which those were.

This is a gorgeous photo. And Jackie's hair is a half century ahead of it's time.

Just sold on eBay (but not to me) was this autographed photo of Alfalfa. It looks like Miss Loose who received it in 1938 must have passed it on to somebody who altered the date, scribbled over the 'Miss Loose' name and also added 'my friend' above the original dedication. I guess without those alterations it would have fetched more than it did.

Just when I thought that I'd seen all the available images of Our Gang that have been posted online I got a nice surprise and stumbled across one that I hadn't seen before...

While some might not consider Mickey Daniel to be the most handsome Rascal who ever wore a tattered pair of trousers he certainly didn't lack in either charisma or personality. I just came across this picture online and it pretty much sums him up...

Here's a photo that i just bought, it has typed info on the back which describes the photo as being a scene from 'Brave Chimp' (1923) the information further adds... That its from 'The Mischief Makers' and includes Wheezer, Jean Darling and 'Sparky' the dog. It is one of 78 original Our Gang two reelers being released to television for the first time. The photo is date stamped 12th April 1961. I guess they mistook 1928 for 1923 and I'm assuming, based on the presence of the guy in the gorilla suit, that it's a scene from The Holy Terror? Anyway I really like Harry's expression.

The sad thing is, the first thing that occurred to me upon seeing the picture was 'Who Farted?'.

Along with the 'Holy Terror' photo (^^^above^^^) that I bought a couple of days ago I also bought two more photos today from the same seller. The first seems to be from 'Cat, Dog & Co' although the printed information slip stuck to the back seems to indicate that it's a scene from the Mischief makers episode 'Sparky the Star' featuring none other than Sparky the Our Gang dog. Also in the photo are Joe Cobb, Farina and a bowler hat wearing Jack Davis, not John F. Bothwell as some people might mistakenly assume. Anyway whoever he is I like his grumpy expression. I also bought this still, which I guess is a cut scene from Crazy House? Or is it from some other movie?

It's certainly not from "Crazy House", as the costumes don't match up. I guess they mistook 1928 for 1923 and I'm assuming, based on the presence of the guy in the gorilla suit, that it's a scene from The Holy Terror? View AttachmentMan, that is one creepy-looking gorilla! The information given on that photo is one of National Telepix's many examples poor research/guesses (though to be fair, it would still be nearly two decades before any official source written on the Gang was made public). "The Brave Chimp" was a 'hybrid' episode of the MM series, consisting mostly of footage from one of Educational Pictures' "Snooky the Chimp" series. About two minutes of Our Gang's "The Big Town" was randomly thrown into the episode.

Two small lithographs that I recently bought. I like hand coloured pictures of the gang because it often surprises me to see that their clothes were different colours than I'd imagined them to be.

Yeah, the colours are almost entirely down to the artist. But in some of the cases the artists probably got to meet the kids and their subsequent choices of colours may have been influenced by the real colours of the kid's clothing, or they may have been instructed by the studio which colours to use. Regardless, I think it's nice to be reminded that the world in which Our Gang lived wasn't actually Black & White but was just as colourful as the world that we live in today. I'd imagine that the colours in this picture of Harry are probably based on his real clothes But perhaps in this modern colourized picture the choice of colours is just a teeny bit more fanciful
