I believe I already have this same version from an old VHS tape (thanks Kel) and it is complete, minus the credits.

I ordered the disc yesterday. How is the film quality? Did they give it a soundtrack?

Did anyone get a copy of Legend Films' "The Pirates of Our Gang" DVD? It includes a copy of Buried Treasure with the original opening title and intertitles, but just no crew credits. It's nearly 20 minutes, but I didn't compare this print to the others we have yet, so I'm not sure how complete this print alone is. Did you watch it yet? Does it have the ending with Farina's mother jumping into the ocean?

Name five Rascals who had siblings who also appeared in 'Our Gang' shorts. (Bonus points if you can name more than five.) Farina, Alfalfa, Mary Kornman, Peggy Ahern, and Woim

Thanks for the info, Robin and mtw12055! And, antifrodis, the seller actually said "sorry, no Spanky." I got in contact with the seller who told me he/she had to stop the auction because of PayPal's new policy changes or something. ~ Misc I know. I was the one who corrected the seller about Spanky being in the film. Thanks to Robin and mtw for the info about the film. The seller actually gave me some of that info, but I didn't put two and two together.

I don't believe there is an episode with that title. The seller wasn't very helpful in deciphering what is actually contained on the film. He/She originally stated that Spanky was in the film. The high starting price makes buying it completely out of the question.

Are the parts of "Our Gang" featured in "Donkey Delivery Company" and "Who's A Sissy" in the C. W. Films/A-1 Video release of "Our Gang"? Yes. There are those two films, as well as some 9.5mm footage from an unknown source.

Hey all,
Just in case anyone didn't see it in a previous post, here is a nearly complete version of the Our Gang silent "A Pleasant Journey'. I used 3 different sources to piece this one together. A new soundtrack has been added as well. Thanks to Doug for supplying some of the footage. Enjoy!

The version shown on TCM back in January was a much better quality version of the Grapevine print, coupled with another source for the second reel of the film. It was fairly close to complete. The scene where Jackie cuts off his caretaker's beard was still missing, along with most of the final scene.

I had it up on Youtube a few years ago and it was removed due to some unfounded copyright claim. Since then, I have received additional footage for the film that was missing from my previous version. I have yet to add that new stuff in (and redo the soundtrack as well). It's one of my favorite silents. I'll try to get to it sometime soon.

The soundtrack similarities to "Fish Hooky" are coincidental. However, I did use some of the music from Laurel and Hardy's "Perfect Day" at the beginning of this film since they are both similar in content: people getting ready to go on a picnic.

Here's the very rare "Sunday Calm" from 1923. I used 5 different sources to compile this version of the film, which is nearly complete. A new soundtrack has been added. Special thanks to Mark for supplying the majority of the footage seen here. Enjoy!

My guess is that they don't have the MGM silents available to put on DVD. They typically have different sources for the films in Europe as opposed to the US.

This comment made me think of something that never occurred to me before. Snoopy's ability to master everything he tries puts him in the same category as Bugs Bunny, which I think might inspire a new thread.... Snoopy never did quite master writing a book...or handling the cat next door, for that matter.
