I also received volume 5. It contains a nice transfer of the French version of "The Smile Wins" with newly created English intertitles. "Telling Whoppers", while not complete, is also a nice quality version of the Mischief Makers episode, "The Big Bully". The other films on the disc are good quality as well, although the Cabin Fever version of "Baby Brother" is still probably the best version of the film available. All in all a safe purchase for fans of the silents.

ReelClassicDVD has released two more volumes of Our Gang silents, including some harder to find shorts. Volume 4: Fire Fighters The Champeen! Lodge Night Sunday Calm Uncle Tom's Uncle Volume 5: Telling Whoppers Seeing the World Ten Years Old Baby Brother The Smile Wins www.reelclassicdvd.com/silent_era.htmI received Volume 4 already. These are all new sources for these films and they're worth picking up. "Sunday Calm" is from a nearly complete Excel print with remade, but correctly worded, intertitles. Upon a brief viewing, the only things I noticed that were missing besides the opening titles was one intertitle and some brief footage near the beginning. The quality overall is very good. Haven't seen Volume 5 yet.

Okay, I see now that it's Harry. The watermark on the photo made his eyebrows look funny to me. That and the different name on the attachment.

From Bob Satterfield Grand Sheik-45 Minutes from Hollywood Tent
"It is with great sadness that I announce the death of Peggy Ahern of the Our gang Comedies.
Peggy Lenore Ahearn Blaylock, a female lead of the silent Hal Roach Our Gang Comedies of the 1920's passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the age of 95.
Peggy Ahern appeared in eight of the "Little Rascal's Comedies from 1924-1927.
"Cradle Robbers" and The Sun Down Limited" (1924); "Circus Fever", "Dog Days', "The Love Bug" and "Official Officers" (1925); "War Feathers" (1926) and Olympic Games (1927).
Along with her young sister Lassie Lou Ahern she toured vaudeville with a song and dance act from 1932-39. They also appeared in the 1937 film "Hollywood Party" starring Charlie Chase and the 1923 Universal Studio version of "The Call of the Wild".
Her other films included: "Excuse Me" (1925) starring Norma Shearer; "Some Punkins"(1925) with Charles Ray; "Human Wreckage" (1923) with Dorothy Davenport (Mrs. Wallace Reid); Also in 1925 she appeared in "Not So Long" starring Betty Bronson and Ricardo Cortez and "The Vanishing American" starring Richard Dix and Lois Wilson for the Lasky Players.
Ahern was born in Douglas, Arizona to Fred and Elizabeth Ahern on March 9, 1917. Her family moved to Culver City in 1921. Her father was in real estate and helped Harry Culver (founder of Culver City) develop the area. Her mother was the wardrobe and hair stylist for both Lassie Lou and Peggy during their stage and film career.
Peggy first Sons' appearance was at the Hollywood '80 International Convention as a part of the Our Gang Reunion with 24 other "Little Rascals" along with Rosina Lawrence and the boss, Hal Roach. She found many new fans and was blown away by the affection she received through the Sons. Both Peggy and Lassie Lou were long time members of the Way Out West Tent of the Sons of the Desert attending many banquets and meetings. We will miss her very much and our sympathy goes out to her dear sister Lassie Lou and her two daughters Jill & Beth who would sometimes accompany the ladies.
With her passing there are only five actors who appeared in any of the silent Our Gang Comedies left-Jack Hanlon (96), Douglas Greer (91), Jean Darling (90), Mildred Kornman (87) and her sister Lassie Lou (92)."

Hey all,
In case anyone was interested, my Our Gang silent edits are no longer available on Youtube. I had a false copyright claim on a few of the films. The person making the claim wasn't interested in shutting down my videos. They simply wanted to add advertising to them in order to turn a profit for themselves. Furthermore, someone has copied a few of my edits and are selling them on DVD on AMAZON.COM no less.
I am not interested in making money with anything I've done with these films. My friends and I have put in a lot of effort (and MONEY) in order to make some of these films available. I apologize to those that enjoyed viewing the films that I was able to provide.
I want to thank the people that greatly helped me in my project, some of who are on this board. I will continue working on the films, but I have no intention of making them publicly available at this time. Let's hope that a complete restored set of Our Gang silents becomes available someday. I highly recommend supporting Robin and C-W Films when his upcoming Our Gang silent disc becomes available.

What was the other source you used besides the Legend Films DVD, antifrodis? I have a complete 9.5mm print of the film.

Hey all,
Here is what I believe to be a complete version of the Our Gang silent film "Buried Treasure". I used two sources to edit this one. I also added a new soundtrack. Enjoy!

Got the disc. It IS the same version and other than most of the opening credits, the film is complete and a pretty nice transfer too.
