Does anyone know of a Mischief Makers episode called "Kids Will Be Kids." It showed up on eBay recently. Thanks!

I don't believe there is an episode with that title. The seller wasn't very helpful in deciphering what is actually contained on the film. He/She originally stated that Spanky was in the film. The high starting price makes buying it completely out of the question.

There was a film series that was based on the Our Gang comedies called "The Mischief Makers" made in the '50s. It had nothing to do with the later series from 1960 that used (or abused) silent Our Gang comedies.
Robin of C-W Films.

Right, "Kids Will Be Kids" was a pilot film for a proposed Our Gang-rip off called "The Mischief Makers". It was produced by Jules White for the Columbia shorts department in 1954, and is considered by many to be the worst short every put out by the studio. It was on youtube at one point, but was probably taken down because of copyright issues.

Thanks for the info, Robin and mtw12055! And, antifrodis, the seller actually said "sorry, no Spanky." I got in contact with the seller who told me he/she had to stop the auction because of PayPal's new policy changes or something.

I was the one who corrected the seller about Spanky being in the film. Thanks to Robin and mtw for the info about the film. The seller actually gave me some of that info, but I didn't put two and two together.

The short has been reposted, for those interested. I can see why people consider this the worst Columbia short.
