These are all new sources for these films and they're worth picking up. "Sunday Calm" is from a nearly complete Excel print with remade, but correctly worded, intertitles. Upon a brief viewing, the only things I noticed that were missing besides the opening titles was one intertitle and some brief footage near the beginning. The quality overall is very good. Haven't seen Volume 5 yet.

I also received volume 5. It contains a nice transfer of the French version of "The Smile Wins" with newly created English intertitles. "Telling Whoppers", while not complete, is also a nice quality version of the Mischief Makers episode, "The Big Bully". The other films on the disc are good quality as well, although the Cabin Fever version of "Baby Brother" is still probably the best version of the film available. All in all a safe purchase for fans of the silents.

Thanks very much for advertising these. I just got the DVDs, and they are excellent. I did not have "Sunday Calm," "Telling Whoppers," "Ten Years Old, " and "The Smile Wins," and the others are better quality than what I had.

I totally recommend all the Silent Our Gang DVDs from Mark at ReelClassicsdvd.com. The prints are the best out there for collectors and the music that accompanies the films i wonderful. More than worth the price.I can only hope that there are more Our Gang silent DVDs to come from this company in the furture!
