This has already been done for you, courtesy of our own Bob Demoss. Check out his site at... www.theluckycorner.comIt lists every available release of each film.

The only problem is - my site doesn't have the most recent releases, as I haven't updated it lately. So perhaps a comprehensive list on this message board would be useful.

For obtaining the 80 Hal Roach shorts, these DVD releases are probably the best way to go. All films are included with their original titles and quality is excellent. However, there are two shorts that are missing a few seconds of footage. "Bear Shooters" (volume 1) and "Washee Ironee" (volume 5). The uncut versions of these two shorts can easily be obtained. Bear Shooters DVD: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-Shooters-Waldos-Stand/dp/B00005B1X3/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1330472124&sr=1-1Washee Ironee DVD (this release includes both black-and-white and colorized versions of shorts): www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-Spanky-Black-White/dp/B001BPB5XY/ref=pd_cp_mov_3As for the 80 shorts collection: Volume 1: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-Vol-1/dp/B004G9UXDKVolume 2: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-2-George-34/dp/B004IF4EYQ/ref=pd_bxgy_mov_text_bVolume 3: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-Vol-3/dp/B004RBC5HE/ref=pd_bxgy_mov_text_cVolume 4: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-Vol-4/dp/B004RBC5KQ/ref=pd_cp_mov_0Volume 5: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-Vol-5/dp/B004RBC5QU/ref=pd_sim_mov_5Volume 6: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-Vol-6/dp/B004RBC5M4/ref=pd_bxgy_mov_text_cVolume 7: www.amazon.com/Little-Rascals-7-George-34/dp/B004RBC5GK/ref=pd_bxgy_mov_text_cThe 52 MGM shorts are also available in a DVD collection: www.amazon.com/Our-Gang-Comedies-George-SpankyMcFarland/dp/B002OGHGSW/ref=sr_1_2?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1330472252&sr=1-2 The only Our Gang feature, "General Spanky", sadly has yet to receive a DVD release. But the film is available on VHS: www.amazon.com/General-Spanky-VHS-George-McFarland/dp/6302148626/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1330472295&sr=1-1That leaves the silents, which are among the hardest to find. There is a 71 short collection of ioffer, which consists of copies taken directly from old VHS releases. As most of these copies sadly were not restored, the quality varies. Also, some of the shorts are incomplete. www.ioffer.com/offer_transactions/show/9996369A-1 Video also offer 5 volumes of silent shorts (under the title "Rascal Silents"), a few of which are not included on the 71 shorts set. www.a-1video.com/Silentcom.htmThen there's Reelclassic DVD, who released a handful of complete (or nearly complete) Rascals silents, and did a very good restoration job. This may be the best source for the sake of good quality copies. The titles are The Our Gang Collection Volumes 1, 2, and 3. www.reelclassicdvd.com/silent_era.htm
