From KLAS TV in Las Vegas: A Las Vegas man convicted of killing a former child actor, who starred in the old "Our Gang" comedies, was given two life sentences. Glass sentenced Crombie to two life sentences. He'll be eligible for parole in 40 years.

Well, I've never seen anything that implied that there was anything sinister about her death. It was definitely a tragedy. I assume that people rarely contract hepatitis in the hospital, although I could be wrong. The assumption I have had was that the hospital may have been negligent. I know it has been stated that she got the hepatitis while she was in the hospital. I'm not sure how anyone knows that for sure, unless there was some sort of admission from the hospital. Whatever the truth is, it does surprise me that there has not been much media attention- other than those stupid "curse" stories.

I searched at www.newspaperarchive.com. It requires a paid membership to view. I didn't see anything there. I also don't remember anything in the news from back then. Since it was a minor surgery, it would not have made the news.

Nope- I have never heard, either.

Looking through some newspapers online, all it says is the hospital was in Canoga Park.

Since there are numerous copies of "Donkey Delivery" out there, I assume he meant that he is the one who figured out what it was. I recently picked up 2 copies on Ebay.

Yeah- I assume it was a coincidence. I just thought it was funny. Looking at the guy's feedback, he hasn't been active on Ebay for a long time. He may not know about ogodcats' DVD.

Check out this auction for a DVD of the 4-minute Donkey Delivery Co. It costs $26.00, including shipping. The funny thing is that ogodcats listed his 13-minute DVD 2 minutes later. I can't believe this description:
"This is probably the rarest, most sought after film you will EVER find on eBay; the ONLY DVD from a 16mm print of the very first LOST classic short film OUR GANG, featuring Hal Roach’s Little Rascals. Released in 1922, this film has been MISSING for nearly 75 years, and considered COMPLETELY lost. No known prints had been known to exist until recently, and this is the first and only time a print like this will EVER be available for purchase by you. This is the truncated version called Donkey Delivery Company, and I guarantee that you will LOVE this film. You can see from the humor of this one why this was one of the most successful film series ever. Some hundreds of shorts produced, Hal Roach’s (who also brought to the world Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chase, Zasu Pitts, and Harold Lloyd) kids (Spanky, Darla, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Stymie to name a few) serve as a testament to the uniqueness of the series. And IT ALL STARTED WITH THIS ONE.
This is your only chance to own this piece of history.
You can pay by Paypal (preferred, but check or Money Order will do in a pinch). $6.00 domestic shipping/handling. "

For the silents, I believe you are referring to the set that has 3 shorts per disc. There is usually an auction for the 8-volume series, with 5-7 shorts per disc, for $9.95 each. The source appears to be the same, but you get more movies per disc. The quality varies. It is not as good as the silent shorts that are included in Cabin Fever or "Little Rascals Collection." I would also recommend making your own DVD inserts. I couldn't stand that they had pics of Spanky, Darla, etc. when they were not on any of the shorts.

You can still get the Cabin Fever VHS tapes of the second series for a decent price. If you have the ability to dub them to DVD, you are ok. The quality isn't any better, but you don't have to mess with tapes any more. Buying the bootlegs is basically paying to eliminate the hassle of dubbing them yourself. But you are gambling on the quality.

Unfortunately, that is probably not what would happen. They would probably have them shut down, but still not release them. Then the people who want them are screwed. I am all for the discs being available, but they should be clearly marked as DVD-R's in all advertisement. No one should have to be surprised at what they get.

Well, since Hallmark didn't bother to release the 2nd series on DVD, the only way to get them on DVD is to either record them yourself from VHS or buy a bootleg. Maybe they should take note of how many bootlegs are selling and release it themselves- complete and remastered.
