Check out this auction for a DVD of the 4-minute Donkey Delivery Co. It costs $26.00, including shipping. The funny thing is that ogodcats listed his 13-minute DVD 2 minutes later. I can't believe this description:
"This is probably the rarest, most sought after film you will EVER find on eBay; the ONLY DVD from a 16mm print of the very first LOST classic short film OUR GANG, featuring Hal Roach’s Little Rascals. Released in 1922, this film has been MISSING for nearly 75 years, and considered COMPLETELY lost. No known prints had been known to exist until recently, and this is the first and only time a print like this will EVER be available for purchase by you. This is the truncated version called Donkey Delivery Company, and I guarantee that you will LOVE this film. You can see from the humor of this one why this was one of the most successful film series ever. Some hundreds of shorts produced, Hal Roach’s (who also brought to the world Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chase, Zasu Pitts, and Harold Lloyd) kids (Spanky, Darla, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Stymie to name a few) serve as a testament to the uniqueness of the series. And IT ALL STARTED WITH THIS ONE.
This is your only chance to own this piece of history.
You can pay by Paypal (preferred, but check or Money Order will do in a pinch). $6.00 domestic shipping/handling. "

the timing thing may have just been by chance. I did send the seller of the auction you talk about a link to "ogodcats" auction, for informational reasons only

Yeah- I assume it was a coincidence. I just thought it was funny. Looking at the guy's feedback, he hasn't been active on Ebay for a long time. He may not know about ogodcats' DVD.

It does seem the seller, in fact, did not know about the longer version of the film. I got the following reply, and feel he is on the level.
<<<had no clue. that's too bad. I was the one who found Donkey Delivery a few years back (there was a press release and everything, even a mention on some rascals sites), and just never thought to do anything with it till now.
oh well. thanks for the info. I'll change the auction. looks like the other guy has a more complete package, too.>>>

Then that was Sid Varma. I got a copy from him before Robin Cook surfaced with the longer version.

Since there are numerous copies of "Donkey Delivery" out there, I assume he meant that he is the one who figured out what it was. I recently picked up 2 copies on Ebay.
