I'm guessing he was one of the haircut customers in "Big Business"

I was going to write basically the same thing, but realized tootie mentioned them being beside a barrel, not in one like Sunshine Sammy in the first one.

Is it possible that it is Anna Mae Bilson? Most sources seem to have her listed as "The widow," but since she is credited as playing a child in a Harold Lloyd film a year earlier, I assume that is incorrect.

I recently picked up a copy of the first "Our Gang" short on DVD. Does anyone know who the blonde girl was in this film? She is identified as "Flora" and "Mary Jane." It is certainly not Mary Kornman.

I just watched Tired Business Men and Seeing The World. Mary Kornman is not in either one. I am not sure who that girl was, but the facial features are different than Mary's. Notice that there are no close-up shots of her.

Interesting- I have the 1979 version of the book. In that version, he did not list Mary as being in Fire Fighters. He also listed The Fourth Alarm as her last short.

Hey Robin,
What were those 2 silents you just picked up on Ebay? One was called "Amateurs Delight." I forgot the title of the other. I was wondering what the real titles were. I was hoping they were rarities.

ANYBODY HERE WHO KNOWS THE BURIAL PLACE OF MARY ANN JACKSON, WHO DIED DEC. 17, 2003? I LOOKED ON FINDAGRAVE.COM BUT TO NO AVAIL. I FOUND THAT SITE QUITE USEFUL WHEN WRITING "FLEEING THE FATES OF THE LITTLE RASCALS." ESPECIALLY SO WHEN RESEARCHING THE FATE OF "FROGGY." IT SEEMS A MAN IN PAHRUMP, NEVADA, NEAR MY ONCE DESERT HOME, HAD BEEN PASSING HIMSELF OFF AS "FROGGY" FOR YEARS. I PUT THAT IMPOSTERHOOD TO REST WHEN I DID A BOOK SIGNING AT THE PAHRUMP LIBRARY AND WAS ASKED IF I KNEW THE LOCAL "FROGGY." I WAS ABLE TO SITE WHERE THE REAL "FROGGY" WAS BURIED AT THE AGE OF 16, IN 1948. LAURA JUNE KENNY According to an auction listed by Jean Darling yesterday, MaryAnn is still alive: "About this picture.... "So many times I have been asked, which of The Kids are still alive, so here we are, Mary Ann Jackson and myself, just the two of us from "my" Gang still above ground. Farena, Joe Cobb, Wheezer and Harry Speer have all left for another playground. Mary Ann was very talented and cute, a real "10" personality except for two things: she was always playing Jacks and eating sen-sen (tiny little black breath-fresheners, very popular back then). As for our Moms, mine was pretty, blond and lady-like. Mary Ann's Mother was dark-haired with sparkling eyes and a ready smile."

While I didn't find her annoying, I don't think her hair really fit in Our Gang.

Mickey and Froggy were by far the most annoying.

All of the main characters have been identified. He may have been an extra, unless he was one of the unidentified kids in the first couple of films. The one mentioned on the updates page is the very first one filmed. It is not complete. Many of the silents are sold on Ebay. The quality varies. Did he ever give any details about any particular episodes he was in?

I have only recently been able to see the silents. I grew up watching the others on TV. I bought the Maltin book when it first came out, so I have been curious about the silent era for some time. Mary Kornman stands out as my favorite.

Nope- I'm just hassling Bob for offering up a site that sells VHS tapes, when the guy asked about DVDs.
