As a project for fun (but is also quite time consuming!), I'm doing my own edits for the silents when I have the time. I may be uploading a few of them occasionally to share for your enjoyment, if YouTube doesn't take them down. My first upload is Rainy Days. I created the soundtrack here as well, and even threw in some sound effects, so that format would be identical to the other shorts from the late silent era with synchronized soundtracks. The Spanking Age may be my next upload, since it is also completed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYvYV90TUqs&feature=youtu.be

Welcome! If you're wanting more of the MGM shorts, they're all available on iTunes and on DVD on Amazon or the WB website.

Thanks, Mickeyfan! So far, your VHS tapes are my best option. I'll send you a PM in a few days if digital or DVD duplicates aren't possible.

Hope everyone is doing well here!
I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that would be able to help me replace part of the TCM marathon. Three out of ten of my DVDs have been destroyed. I have a wonderful little English bulldog puppy that likes to sink his teeth into anything I accidentally leave lying around within reach, the little rascal! :-) Of course, all three of those DVDs had to be the ones containing the silent shorts, instead of the sound shorts that we already own on the Vivendi DVDs. If there is anyone that could help me replace these specific shorts either by providing HQ downloads or sending DVD duplicates, I would greatly appreciate it and would gladly return the favor somehow. The shorts I'm now missing from the marathon are July Days, No Noise, Big Business, The Buccaneers, Seein' Things, One Wild Ride, Good Cheer, Buried Treasure, Uncle Tom's Uncle, Monkey Business, Thundering Fleas, It's a Bear, High Society, Every Man for Himself, Fast Company, The Sun Down Ltd, and The Mysterious Mystery.
I was unhappy to find out that these discs are gone, considering some of the rare material and the better prints that TCM used, and that they're difficult to replace without official releases of these.

Hey everyone,
It's that time of the year for me to renew my site. As much as I hate to, I have decided not to renew it and close it. This will be effective in a few days. It was a lot of fun, especially when I started it back in the summer of 2003. I'll always love Our Gang but keeping the site is an another expense, and it takes time and effort to get it looking as good as I would like. I haven't been doing this in a while now.
If you would like, bookmark this message board, because it is free and I'm keeping it open. This way we'll still have all the old threads. There is also the OurGangFollies group.
Take care, everyone.

Mark, Can you tell me exactly the name(s) of these DVDS and where you bought them. I would appreciate it. You can email me the info, augweiss@msn.com The names of the DVDs are kind of generic. They're each "The Little Rascals Volume __." I bought them from Barnes & Noble in Harrisonburg, VA. Barnes & Noble stores that have CDs and movies will most likely have them. They carry a lot of movie classics.

Interesting. Hopefully it is that same version since it's complete.

Yeah, there are some people who don't understand my fascination with this series. But like mtw said, most of them haven't actually watched much of them, if not at all.
Unfortunately, with School's Out, Bear Shooters, and Follies of '38 being in the public domain, these are the films that more people are seeing... not the greatest shorts to start with.

I'd say the film quality is excellent. They did give it a soundtrack, but it's the mostly the same soundtrack GoodTimes Home Video used for their silents years ago. So it's hard to tolerate.
I plan to get out my two other versions later today to see how complete this may be.

Did anyone get a copy of Legend Films' "The Pirates of Our Gang" DVD? It includes a copy of Buried Treasure with the original opening title and intertitles, but just no crew credits. It's nearly 20 minutes, but I didn't compare this print to the others we have yet, so I'm not sure how complete this print alone is.
