Does any of you have family or friends think it's weird or think your out of your mind for being a into these films? or that are astounded by the fact that you are a our gang fanatic? or obsessed? Just curious. Me i'm a Our Gang fan for life! These films will live on probably past our lives. Sometimes i get people saying Wow! Those are really old and outdated! lol I've come across people thinking that Our Gang is literally just for kids not your average adults. Then there are people that can't stand black and white films which to me i personally love them that way. Ya know to me most people these days do not know what they are missing. Although i think my Mom does admire it that i'm a Our Gang fan and cherish films around that time.

Oh sure, I run into those types of people all the time. But from what I can tell, a majority of the people who think that these films aren't interesting simply haven't taken the time to watch them.

Yeah, there are some people who don't understand my fascination with this series. But like mtw said, most of them haven't actually watched much of them, if not at all.
Unfortunately, with School's Out, Bear Shooters, and Follies of '38 being in the public domain, these are the films that more people are seeing... not the greatest shorts to start with.

Most of the people I know think I'm out of my mind because I would rather watch old black and white movies than new movies. But I don't care. On the other hand, I think they're out of their minds because they would rather watch new movies than old black and white movies.

If you saw my film collection, you would understand why people think I'm a bit mad....

I had that while I was growing up. In junior high, some kids made fun of me for my OG enthusiasm. They thought that the films were only for little kids.

No one (aside from my parents and sister) knows about my enthusiasm for "Our Gang." I haven't really told any of my friends, co-workers, etc. It's not that I'm embarrassed or anything, it just doesn't come up in conversation. As some of you know, I'm only 20 years old, so most people my age are only familiar with the 1994 Little Rascals movie; I'm not sure I've ever met someone my own age who knows about the original Little Rascals.
I think my family thinks it's pretty cool. My parents watched re-runs of "Our Gang" on TV when they were kids, so they are fans too (not nearly as big as fans as me though). I think they're impressed when I randomly rattle off some random fact. One times my dad told me, "I wish you would remember things you learned in school as well as you remember things you about movies and TV."

People who know me well enough to be privy to my enthusiasm for the Our Gang comedies aren't surprised by it at all; I'm a studious learner in regard to a variety of subjects, so people I know aren't caught off-guard when I exhibit in-depth knowledge of topics pertaining to classic cinema. They actually kind of expect it. :-)

I dunno everytime i mention Our Gang/Little Rascals if it comes up in a conversation, if people ask me about it great! if they don't i tend to keep it to myself I think alot of people these days just look at them and think this isn't a bluray? or whatever lol! or some big money maker movie! lol. Our Gang are well made films and will be carried on by the fans who love these films like i do!
