I'm waiting on a *LOT* of stuff to be released, not just Little Rascals stuff, and they take a loooong time. So that stinks.

I've been seeing a number of birthdays lately, which you can see at the bottom of the main board page. Yesterday's was bax53. Happy birthday, bax! I see that today's birthday is rarefilms, the one and only R.J. (Robin) Cook, the seller of the lost first film. Happy birthday to you, too! Mine was recent, which was May 25. Not only I turned 21 that day, it was also exactly 10 years when I got my first two Little Rascals videos and watched the series for the very first time. The first episode I put in was "The Pinch Singer." Great episode to start out with; it's my all-time favorite! ;D

I don't think so. I haven't read or heard anything about finding this person.

It's "Fast Company." My two copies have that scene.

Why do you think there was more to Darla's death?

Then that was Sid Varma. I got a copy from him before Robin Cook surfaced with the longer version.

The only episodes in the public domain from the Hal Roach talking era are Bear Shooters, School's Out, and Our Gang Follies of 1938, jay.
By the way, are the first 12 volumes in this "Mega Pack" the Cabin Fever DVD's, copied using a computer DVD burner? If so, that could explain why they don't look noticeably bad.

Someone finally left a rating on Amazon.com, but it was only for the first half of the set (volumes 1-12) but the picture on Amazon is the bootleg version. Here's what they said:

Sounds like you got a questionable set, Froggy. I got my copies individually in stores (K-Mart and Tower Records) and they play in all my players (including my portable one). The covers are not blurry at all and the quality of the films are outstanding.

Those two Hallmark DVDs do not contain half of what's on the six DVD set. The six DVD set by Cabin Fever are the first twelve volumes (the first half of the VHS set that was distributed in 1994).
The difference between Hallmark Vol 1&2 and Cabin Fever Vol. 1&2 is the cover art and the menu. The picture and sound quality are no different that I can tell.
The problem with Hallmark Vol. 3&4 is that not all the shorts from the VHS volumes 3 and 4 are included. Love Business and Pay As You Exit are not there as they should have been. Instead, some of the shorts on that DVD are from the 75th Anniversary video by Cabin Fever in 1997 (including the 1927 silent film, Dog Heaven). Also, the Leonard Maltin intros are missing in this DVD.
Just get Cabin Fever's 6 DVD set off eBay. Make sure the cover art resembles the original Cabin Fever VHS boxart and the copies should be legitimate. If you want Dog Heaven on DVD, then you might also want to pick up the Hallmark Vol 3&4.
