If you want to see some rock and roll Little Rascals, check out Jonah and the boys. They're on the Highway To Hell, just like all of us...

I'm a big fan of Jonah Smith and his various bands such as Crooked Preacher & Plowboy. However dunn forget that us Brits can also produce good rock bands at an even younger age. The Mini Band lead guitarist Harry Jackson (left handed guitar player in the check shirt) wrote this, their second, original song. The video was shot in a field on the farm belonging to the dad of lead singer Harrison Read.

I got a kick out of this old clip from The Jack Benny Show from the 1960's with The Rocky Fellers, a family group from The Philippines...

^^^ That was brilliant but I'd guess at early to mid 1950s rather than 1960s ^^^
Now for a taste of Russia with Wild Bitt, their official video for Voodoo

The Rocky Fellers were popular in the early 1960's, and the date of their Jack Benny appearance was November 27, 1962. The information is on YouTube.
Here they are in 1960...

^^^ Oh I don't doubt you for a moment, I just figured they might be earlier cos of what they were performing and the style of it^^^
Аль-Бус (Al-Boos) - Это Мы! (It's Us!) from the soundtrack to Sixth City featuring lead singer Demon Tjunjakin (what a great name). I love this song, it's so laid back and soothing.

They were best known for their hit single "Killer Joe" from 1963. It was a big hit on the radio and someone in my family owned the 45. I remember I liked it back then and played it a lot...
Edit to add: I just downloaded their old album from the 1960's on iTunes and it's not bad! It's pretty cool to rediscover this stuff after all of these years.

Maybe all of you old film buffs have seen this one, but I got a kick out of Jackie Cooper sweet talkin' Norma Shearer into using her influence to use a MGM stage for his football team's Christmas party. I especially like the end of this clip where they relax and appear to be ab-libbing. It's part of a short called "The Christmas Party" from 1931...
Here's the whole thing in case you're interested...

If you want to see some rock and roll Little Rascals, check out Jonah and the boys. They're on the Highway To Hell, just like all of us... He's quite a vocal performer, attacking the song with all the verve necessary to keep an audience's rapt attention. He has already learned how to put on an excellent show for his crowd.
