Yes, I discovered Jonah Smith by accident one day when searching for some Led Zeppelin videos, and have been very impressed by him. He seems like a natural talent with a great knowledge of rock and roll. After watching this video I knew he was a Doors fan (watch his movements). It's really cool seeing kids his age being strongly influenced by rock bands that I grew up watching. I guess that's how rock and roll grows and evolves...
He's a teenager now BTW in a band called Plowboy. I think he has a very good future in music.

Seeing as Johan Smith is popular here are two early videos of him when he was lead guitarist and singer with Crooked Preacher.
Performing a cover of Are You Gonna Be My Girl
Performing their own original song I Will Go To Heaven

Here in the USA there was a recent controversy during the NBA finals when the San Antonio Spurs brought out a very talented Mexican-American young man named Sebastien De La Cruz to sing the national anthem before game 3...
Most people loved him, but some people posted some bad racial remarks over the internet. The San Antonio Spurs reacted by proudly bringing him back for an encore in game 4...
Sebastien reacted to all of the controversy here...
Way to go Sebastien! ;D

^^^In a country where 99% of the inhabitants are descended from immigrants racism seems particularly stupid. The kid is giving the opinions of those mindless bigots the lack of credibility that they deserve. Twitter, who reads it anyway?^^^
Now for something completely different...

Somebody took a lot of thought and effort to combine images from The Brady Bunch episode The Winner with the Gary Jules cover of Mad World, memorably used in the soundtrack to the movie Donnie Darko.

Here's another one from the early 1960's. I was never much of a fan of The Osmond Brothers, but I have to admit that I get a kick out of watching their very early TV appearances on The Andy Williams Show when they were a simple barbershop quartet act. They were good!
Jay Osmond was quite a little rascal back then...
Here is their appearance from December 20, 1962. The first video is from January 10, 1963.

I don't believe I had ever heard of The Osmond Brothers before now, but I'm sure I won't forget them. While music groups of that age have been around for a long time, barbershop quartets aren't as common. Their performance of such relatively tricky harmony is quite an accomplishment.
How does one attach Youtube videos for this thread, by the way? I know how to attach photos (at least, in the General Discussion forum), but I'm not sure about videos.

For something a little more modern, I just discovered this drumming rascal from Australia named Jagger last night on You Tube. This kid impresses the heck out of me!
Here he is banging away in his garage...
Here he is at an audition for Australia's Got Talent 2012...
Here he is on the show...
And if you want to see more just search his name on You Tube and there's a lot more of him.
I'll add this little encore...
To embed You Tube videos just click on the red "Tube" button in the "Add Tags:" section above, and paste in the URL address in the middle.

He has all the hand speed he will ever need as a drummer, but tempered by a fine sense of rhythm, as well. And that assessment is coming from someone who isn't particularly fond of the noise drums make.
Ah, now I see how it works. Routing a Youtube attachment is a lot easier than I expected. Assuming this works, that is.
You may well have already heard of Anthony Gargiula, but in case not, here's a video of one of his earliest public performances of the U.S. National Anthem at a basketball game, when he was seven years old. The skill with which he weaves such a difficult song is nothing short of extraordinary.

Nice job Anthony! He definitely nailed it. I'm always amazed when someone that young gets up in front of a large crowd and belts out a song perfectly. I couldn't do it, that's for sure. Thanks for sharing that.
Speaking of Mickey Gubitosi, here he is all grown up and ticked off. One reason Robert Blake is one of my favorite adult actors is because he is one tough rascal...
And here is a little more from Jagger Alexander. He is outdoors at Bondi Beach, Australia raking in some cash by busking...

I've seen a few interviews with Robert Blake in the last several years, and Bonnie Lee Bakley is undoubtedly a sore spot. The closer an interviewer gets to it, and the longer he or she parks on the matter, the more surely and severely it draws Robert Blake's ire. I know he has "good days and bad days", but as big a fan as I am of Mickey Gubitosi's early film career, I think I might be afraid to meet Robert Blake in person if the opportunity ever arose.
Jagger Alexander has masterful control over those sticks! I notice he wore a set of headphones while busking, probably to protect his hearing from the sharp, constant rat-a-tat of the drumming. That was a good idea; if he's going to be drumming for many years to come, then protecting his hearing from an early age will be imperative. I recall that just a few years ago, movie score composer and rocker Danny Elfman announced he was losing his hearing from years of performing with his band.
