I’ve posted this in a couple of Laurel and Hardy Facebook groups. I don’t think this has been posted in any of them. I’m sure there are quite a few Gang fans there that may contribute.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Unfortunately my contribution just brought them to an even 40% of the goal. I'm also hoping for a more restoration of the silents, but know that may be a long time coming, if ever.

They're struggling to even get to $30K. They're going to need to extend the campaign AND post this everywhere to spread more word to just get closer to $70K.

With two days left, they won’t be able to get another $45K before the fundraiser ends. From what I gather, 1). All money donated will be returned if the goal is not met, and 2). ClassicFlix says they have plans to still make this work even if the fundraiser doesn’t succeed. They’ll have to put other projects on hold to get this set done.
I guess 385 backers is still impressive considering we’ve been in a pandemic all year. Also, never heard of indiegogo, as opposed to Kickstarter. Maybe some were hesitant using indiegogo . I would think the upcoming release would be well received enough to get the rest of the 80 shorts done.

Did anyone else notice that at least a couple of the pledges have disappeared within the last few days? Odd.

Thanks for confirming I'm not losing my mind. My contribution made it an even 40%, and now it's 36%. I hope they didn't do business with Honest Butch's loan shark operation.

I've participated in more than 1 fundraiser through them over the last 5 years.

It's heartbreaking that they weren't able to raise all the funds and will surely put in doubt any future releases of Our Gang restorations if they can't even raise the funds for this one. I really had my heart set on a complete restoration of the entire series.

I really had my heart set on a complete restoration of the entire series. On the bright side, CF did say they plan to restore all 80 shorts with or without campaign funds. They just might take longer to get done, and have to raise the prices on the first volume. I’m ok with raising the prices a bit if that would help get the job done. I’m crossing my fingers.

If they are still able to accomplish the goal but the costs rise then I'm willing to deal with it. Not the ideal situation I was hoping for but that's the reality of it. I guess the audience is a much smaller niche than what I had thought and obviously smaller than what it used to be. I suppose all those years of not being broadcast on national TV is the culprit.

From ClassicFlix
"Thank you to all who donated to this important project.
Although we didn't hit our goal, please know we are moving forward with plans to restore and bring these wonderful shorts to Blu-ray. More will be known in the coming weeks in terms of how and when."

I highly doubt there are very many people interested in "The Little Rascals" that are still alive. Popularity of the franchise has greatly fallen out of favor, especially since most of its fans are now deceased, or are getting closer to death.
I think there's a better chance of seeing the black-and-white shorts (and maybe, if we're lucky, the 1980s animated segments) uploaded on an official Rascals YouTube channel someday, should one be created. This may be a last resort, if the brand is making lack of profits. Though I suspect that the animated segments may likely get blocked in the U.S., but accessible in many other countries, maybe including Canada.

Classic flix has provided a brief update that they are moving forward for volume 1, which is to include the first 11 shorts. They’re expecting more details to follow soon.
So looks like we’re getting half of what they originally planned, down from 22.
