I've got Curley & Who Killed Doc Robbin on DVD. Speck and Billy Gray were the highlights of those otherwise pretty poor movies. I dunno about Speck being a cross between Mickey & Alfalfa, he reminded me more of Billy Redden, the banjo boy from Deliverance

The real Freckles of Our Gang, apparently that Harry Spear kid was an imposter Maltin and Bann mention this article in their book. It only helped further confuse those trying to track down Harry, I'm sure.

Weak gags (though I did kind of like Curley's rocket ship), lousy acting, and relatively boring scenes fill up both movies. It's no wonder both bombed at the box office.

Yeah some people might get confused with time. As kids they might have appeared in an Our Gang wannabe series and over time in their memories they start to believe they were in the real Gang. John F Bothwell was simply a liar. He knew for a fact that the kid in the photo wasn't him but he still claimed that it was.

Is that Jay coming out of the closet? I knew he was skinny and I did begin to wonder after that scene with Jackie in Dog Heaven... I'm just messing Actually I like the Shivering Spooks picture. I haven't seen that one before and once again Scooter looks positively tiny. Attachments:

That was back when Roach apparently saw Scooter as a Jackie Coogan. The Gang ready to go on location in the famous Our Gang bus. Back to Front: Sing Joy, Jackie, Powder-Puff, Andy Samuel, Mickey, Farina, and Mary. This was during production of 1924's "The Sun Down Limited". Attachments:

I like this photo. Pure cutting edge technology of its day. I wonder is 'Dal Speer' was any relation to Harry? Attachments:
