That is odd. I think everyone just assumed they were colorized also. On a good note, Amazon shows 2 left in stock of "Boys of Our Gang," and mine is being prepared for shipment. The other says it ships in 10-12 days.

I have not seen any posts from Laura June Kenny in awhile, but maybe she could be of some help.

I just heard today through the grapevine that the upcoming DVDs of the Roach talkies are NOT just repeated from the Genius set, but are apparently going to fix the problems with that set. So you might want to wait a bit to complete your collection of 1929-38 episodes. What upcoming set is this?

Especially since that seller attaches that same history to all of his OG items. Perhaps the $375 price tag is based on the fact that no one else has a Samuel Kilunk autograph.

Lassie Lou Ahern is still with us, and was in Jubilo. Jr. However, she was very young then, and is over 90 now, so I doubt if she remembers much about him.

That is the funny thing about these impostors. They think that there were characters, played by multiple different people, instead of nicknames for specific kids, who basically played themselves, with the exception of Buckwheat being usedmore than once. Before Carl Switzer, there was no Alfalfa. After Carl Switzer, there was no Alfalfa.

The same year Frankie Darro was in Pinocchio, 1940, he was also in "On The Spot," which was Mary Kornman's final film:

I would not say that those are the best representation of the Boy Friends. Ladies Last and High Gear would have been good substitutes for Bigger and Better and You're Telling Me.

I watched about 2 minutes of that link, and found it way too creepy to watch.

I believe Bob DeMoss, from theluckycorner, verified Elmer "Scooter" Lowry's information.
