By unpopular demand: vimeo.com/197713685Only the Rascals portion here, but this entire episode was rather weak. Blake seems a bit stiff. One his lengthier segments is missing from my copy. Reportedly, he wasn't so friendly to the rest of the cast and writers. Gary Kroeger had a particularly unfortunate encounter with him. The Rascals scene is okay. The audience obviously loved it. Spanky's love for food was rather lame (incidentally, who is playing Spanky?) My favorite bits are with Mary Gross' slightly creepy Alfalfa. Check out Ben Douwsma's review: www.bendouwsma.com/blog/2013/10/26/classic-snl-review-november-13-1982-robert-blake-kenny-loggins-s08e06Note the music cues. All but the first one were actually taken from Laurel and Hardy films. Darla's music cue is from SWISS MISS (1938). Clearly, someone on the staff was a big enough fan of the Gang to know that Hal Roach produced both series. Also interesting that Blake mentions Petey, despite having never worked with him. Perhaps unintentional, but in a later sketch, someone in the cast uses the term "stymied."

I did learn on The Big Cartoon Database that Matthew Lydick supplied brief summaries for the shorts used in the Little Rascals cartoon series. If true, you should probably contact him for possibly negotiating a trade for more episodes of The Pac-Man/Little Rascals/Richie Rich Show. and maybe the second season with The Monchhichis.
I did discover that he didn't supply summaries for two animated shorts from the second season ("The Big Sneeze" and "Pete's Big Break", though the latter was likely be found on the Web, albeit in bad quality). But I think he did supply summaries for all the first season shorts.

Did my best to translate them!

Another SNL sketch, with the same people from the previous sketch, plus host John Candy as Spanky and Robin Duke as Miss Crabtree. Also featuring Jim Belushi and Tim Kazurinsky. vimeo.com/199475005

The Little Rascals got a mention in the comic strip Dick Tracy today (August 24, 2017) www.gocomics.com/dicktracy/2017/8/24?ct=v&cti=2003722 . The story deals with film scams and suggests how one can understand why many kids thought they were in a real Our Gang comedy.

Not sure if this should count but Jet Jurgensmeyer, the kid who played Spanky in THE LITTLE RASCALS SAVE THE DAY, turned up on WILL AND GRACE recently.

Darla Hood must get a lot of references over the years...

New one - the title of an episode of the Murray Brothers (Bill and Brian-Dolye)'s new web series Extra Innings is "Yum, Yum, Eat 'Em Up."

Semi-related: Most of you probably know this, but the website OLDIES.COM has various Rascals items one can order online, through mail order, or over the phone if you wish. They've got DVDs, of course, but also items like Little Rascals salt-and-pepper shakers, tee-shirts, even an album compilation of Darla Hood's singing as an adult.

I came across an Irish Christmas ad from the 1990s, depicting a child being able to contact "Santa" on her toy telephone. Apart from the fantasy aspect, you could see one of the younger female Rascals trying to contact Santa through a toy telephone.

Seems more like something that should go in this thread. littlerascals.proboards.com/thread/1255/likes
