The 2016 Presidential Election. But that was considered too horrifying even for an MGM short. In YE OLDE MINSTRELS, Froggy's uncle was originally going to be _________________________________ "Uncle George" of THE KID FROM BORNEO (1934), but unfortunately he was too busy with an all you can eat Sausage Buffet at the time! In MELODIES OLD AND NEW (1942), instead of Janet Burston singing, ______________________ was going to sing __________________________.

Uncle George was going to sing "Take Me Back to Old Borneo-y."
In ELECTION DAZE, Froggy's speech was originally interrupted by ________________________.

Uncle George was going to sing "Take Me Back to Old Borneo-y." In ELECTION DAZE, Froggy's speech was originally interrupted by ________________________. Donald Trump, as he's the Kanye West (Ironic comparison, I know!) of politics! The Donald just had to be reminded that he hadn't been born yet, and all was well....sort of, as there was still Janet's afternoon Tea with her Dollies club mandate! The aborted HOME FRONT COMMANDOS (Unreleased!) was originally to be about __________________________, and was to feature _________________________________.

Comedy, and was to feature politicians. The other way around would have been too obvious.
MEN IN FRIGHT originally had the kids' stomach aches being represented not by cartoons, but by............

Guys in bizarre outfits doing pantomime and interpretive dance. But that was rejected as just looking too weird. In UNEXPECTED RICHES, Spanky was going to dream about ______________________________ How the Gang's coming into money led to expensive drug habits for everyone except him. There was even a scene, in which an elderly Spanky waxes eloquent about his dearly departed friends in a cemetery setting. Or am I mixing this up with that late '70s John Belushi SNL filmed sketch? The censors insisted on it's being excised, at any rate! Instead of Mickey G, it was ____________________________ who would be inspired by the "Poor Richard" book in BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, JR. (1943), which led to the Gang's resulting play being _______________________, instead of ___________________________.

Spanky, entertaining, dismal. In MEN IN FRIGHT, originally _____________________ was going to be in the hospital for ______________________________ Buckwheat, an extreme bellyache caused by eating too much fried chicken! In THE NEW PUPIL (1940), instead of turning Spanky and Alfalfa's heads, Juanita Quigley ___________________________________.

Froggy's father. Unfortunately, audiences weren't quite ready for that. In GOING TO PRESS, "the boss" was originally going to be ........... Bruce Springsteen. Unfortunately, not having been born yet proved problematic! Thankfully, Spanky's overbearing "Holier than Buckwheat" attitude didn't come into play until the following entry! Instead of SURPRISED PARTIES (1942), the gang was originally going to be in a short titled _______________________________, that was about ______________________________________________.

PARTY SURPRISES, which was an instructional video about how to turn common household items into festive decorations for any special occasion!
In DON'T LIE, Buckwheat was originally going to claim he saw ___________________________________

MGM's plans for the next five years, which included a string of films guaranteed to win universal accolades and contracts for talented younger kids who would replace the aging stars. Unfortunately Buckwheat couldn't keep a straight face during any of the filming, which spread to the other gangsters and was not what the producers wanted.
An alternate script for BABY BLUES had ___________________ worried about __________________, and this was supposed to be resolved by ______________.

An alternate script for BABY BLUES had ___________________ worried about __________________, and this was supposed to be resolved by ______________. the gang; Janet Burston becoming a series regular; shooting her! This decidedly went against MGM's moral high ground, and was admittedly, rather drastic! Of course, then the hero/heroine in LITTLE MISS PINKERTON (1943) instead, would have been _______________________________, who would avenge the __________________________ crime by _____________________________________!
