Did anybody hear about the sequel to the funny movie It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World(1963)? Rat Race seemed like a Mad World type of movie.

I can't imagine that sequel holding a light to the original one. But I guess we'll see.

I can't imagine that sequel holding a light to the original one. But I guess we'll see. I agree. Trying to capture the comic genius or the whole vibe of that movie is impossible. It's one of the greatest films of all-time, and can not be "improved upon"... nor can any "sequel" live up to it in any way shape or form. I can still remember watching it when I was a kid. My dad loved Jonathan Winters in that movie.

Comedy just isn't made like it was back then.

Comedy just isn't made like it was back then. No, it is not.... and I don't think it can ever be made like that again. Same goes for nearly all other art forms. Music, for sure. Everything was more "pure" back then.

My late mom once took me and my brother to see the film and told me a story of when the "W" was shown I yelled "Here it is!" or something to that effect. The theater audience was roaring with laughter.
