Hi Zac,
I've been collecting Little Rascals videos since... my 11th birthday! May 25, 1995, and it's a day I'll never forget. After watching the "new" movie, I was curious what the old ones were like, and because they go waaaaaaaaaay back to the 1930s (I knew almost nothing about the series at that time), I was fascinated with them. Within a month or two, I kept finding tapes with episodes going back earlier and earlier (1936... 1933... 1929... 1923!) My interest just kept skyrocketing.
I never really even thought about getting the collection appraised. All the tapes together might add up, but do videotapes really go up in value?
As for the rarest silent Rascals film- most definitely the first episode. rarefilms, who posts here and is the seller of the first episode, has a handful of episodes that not even bootleg tape sellers ever had. He plans to release them on VHS and DVD for us.
