Word is just now getting around and there are no obituaries yet. I found the post on alt.comedy.laurel-hardy on Google Groups. I'll post the news on the main page once official sources begin announcing it. Rest in peace, Eugene.

Besides Jackie Cooper and Wheezer, Porky was another one of my favorite Little Rascals. He seem to have sweet, gentle quietness about him that I've alway enjoyed watching.
RIP Eugene.

Hm. If that's so, it took quite a while for someone to find out.
Eugene was no where to be found for years until he started letting people know where he is. Tommy Bond's death gained some attention in the news and I wonder if Eugene will get the media attention Tommy had.

Whoa... this is a little weird. Mr. Bond died barely a month ago. This one didn't hit me quite so hard, because there was not a picture with "Porky Dies" typed up. That doesn't make it any less sad. I haven't had time to get over Butch.

And now one more is gone. I was reading my Maltin & Bann book the other night. One passage that has always impacted me is what was the final line in the original edition of the book. (It's still in there, but it is no longer the final line). "Of one thing we are certain: Mortality embraces them all. Except, we can hope, on film." Porky, you will always live on in our memories.

I'm a little late here, but, yes, very sad news. My feeling was he was still a quiet person, but a very nice man. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
