"Boy, ain't dat some'm." I just updated the main page about Hallmark releasing a third DVD edition on November 15. I was under the impression that they scrapped the DVD series. Hm. Well, I'll definitely be getting it. It'd be nice to see them complete the set, even without the Maltin intros (at least the shorts are complete and original). But at this rate, we won't even be alive when the day comes.

I like the Leonard Maltin intros, even though as a kid I fast forwarded them. I still believe in buying the Cabin Fever tapes. I don't need DVD. I'd rather have the high quality original than some less-than-perfect release from a company that obviously doesn't care about the product.

What shorts are gonna be on the new DVD?

Free Wheeling, Mike Fright, Washee Ironee, Fishy Tales, Shiver My Timbers, Divot Diggers, Choo-Choo, Bored of Education, When the Wind Blows, and Framing Youth.
The quality doesn't get any better, it's like perfection. If they release more DVDs, we may have the shorts but not the Maltin intros. I'll buy everything they come out with of Little Rascals as long as they're the restored Cabin Fever prints.

I'm excited about this release however the cover trips me out because it's from the mgm era and none of these episodes are on it lol! Mister Blake is on the cover!!! Anyways i hope Hallmark starts putting more and more on DVD because there releases have been great and to me better than what Cabin Fever had.

See, they don't care too much about the product. They can't even get the pictures right! They need to pay attention to detail; that bothers me so much.

I'm excited that more people will get to see "Choo-Choo"! That short is WAYYYYY underated! Breezy's last blast before he pretty much retires. "What does that guy mean, brats?"

I have a tape that ONLY has "Bear Shooters" on it and the cover has a picture of the MGM era cast as well. (Alfalfa, Mickey, Darla, Spanky, and Buckwheat)

I think you're refering to this one: That was from Madacy Entertainment, some public domain company. I was 13 years old when it came out and it fooled me into thinking there were silent episodes in it. The BACK of the box says there are silent episodes when there actually aren't.

That is it. I almost bought it several years ago. I hadn't seen any OG/LR shorts in many years. When I saw it had Mary Kornman in it, I assumed it had silents. I can't remember why I didn't buy it, but I'm glad i didn't.

They could get in trouble for that. It's a cute picture though.

LOL Madacy has to be the WORST (or one of the worst) film companies EVER. I bought a Charlie Chaplin collection they put out a few years ago not knowing how bad the quality would be. There are shorts on those tapes that are cut off on the end because the tape ran out when they were copying them. How bad is that?

Brentwood Video did the same thing. Any of you remember those two-video sets they put out in 1997, called "Hal Roach's Rascals"? One of the tapes had Shivering Spooks on it, and the tape ran out where the kids first walk into the hidden room from the cave. I returned it two or three times, and they were ALL like that.
Brentwood has all the shorts they had on the VHS two-packs on DVD now, all except Shivering Spooks.
