Most of you have probably heard of the decidedly creepy Baby Burlesks, a series of shorts from the early Thirties parodying various film genres with all of the roles acted by pre-school aged kids wearing giant diapers. There were thankfully only a handful but they're still remembered partly because Shirley Temple got her start there and partly because they're just jaw-droppingly icky.
Anyway, one of the last, a boxing spoof called 'The Kid's Last Fight,' is said by some sources to feature Sid Kibrick in a small role as a diapered toughie who menaces Shirley. And... Well, I dunno. It does kinda look like him and the timing's right (he would have been maybe four or five). But I suspect that might have been wishful thinking on someone's part. The 'Sid' character is paired with another boy many of the same sources identify as 'Butch' but who is quite clearly not Tommy Bond. Perhaps someone's just gotten their film shorts mixed up.
Anyone got any data on this?

I think this is Sid in the sailor's cap in "Out All Night" (1933), starting at 1:05. Comparing the two, I'd say probably not. Just my 2ยข. Wouldn't swear to it either way. Link

Anyone got any data on this? As it happens, I just watched "Glad Rags To Riches (1933)" the other night, and I saw a kid who looks very much like Sidney Kibrick ju st a bit before the 3 minute mark, in which he approaches a toddler cop outside a nightclub. Unfortunately, I can't seem to upload the photo I took of the scene onto my post! I suspect he might not recall doing these Baby Burlesks, assuming he did appear in some, but Sidney Kibrick is still around in case anyone might want to inquire with him about it?

Glad Rags to Riches (1933) Respectfully submitted for your perusal. I agree that there is a decent resemblance to a young Sid. Edit: Looking at IMDB, the actor is listed as one "Lawrence Harris," who is also listed as Pop Skull in "The Kid's Last Fight."

I watched some of "The Kids Last Fight (1933)" on YouTube, and the actor playing "Pop Skull" definitely looks like a young Sidney Kibrick. I have no idea who Lawrence Harris even is, but my hot take is the Baby Burlesk titles that credit him likely belong to Sidney Kibrick.

CHEERS! OK, I just looked up Lawrence (Larry) Harris. Based on his IMDB listing, he made 20 movie and TV appearances:
Some of Larry Harris's appearances include uncredited 'Our Gang' appearances, such as the kid who carries Alfalfa at the end of THE PIGSKIN PALOOKA (1937) and the kid who must get home in the MGM 'Our Gang' short THE BIG PREMIERE (1940); plus he also appears in the early MGM 'Our Gang' musical comedy CLOWN PRINCES (1938). Larry Harris is also, in fact, in THE KID'S LAST FIGHT (1933). Two of his three IMDB photos are actually from his appearance in that Baby Burlesk short!
