This is coming out in November but is available for pre-order now. See this linkThis set also includes a bonus disk with some pretty neat-looking stuff on it. If, like me, you already own the individual volumes from this set, the bonus disk is available separately.

This sounds pretty neat.
However, I cannot get a straight answer from any of the material I've checked whether the bonus disc is available in the DVD set or, even better, sold separately like the Blu-Ray Disc.
I guess I'll have to check back later for more details...

I guess I'll have to check back later for more details... The bonus disc will be available as a separate release on Classic Flix's site for a limited time. The separate version will be Blu-ray only. As part of the set, it will be on both Blu and DVD.

Well, lovely
And it gets cuter. If I get the new set, I'll also have to keep the old set because of the old set's Special Features.
I'm gonna go kill bugs with a hammer now...

Not sure I understand your motivation for purchasing the new set. Like you, I have all of the previous volumes. If I get the bonus disc (which I've already pre-ordered) but don't buy the new Complete Set, what would I be missing?

Only thing you'd be missing is the Leonard Maltin intro, which will be included on disc 1 of the boxed set. Otherwise, the bonus disc can easily be purchased on its own (but only as a Blu, not a DVD).

Exactly. I have to get the DVD version, which does NOT sell the bonus disc separately.

Okay, I think I get what you're saying now. By "old set", you must be referring to the DVDs from the late 2000s? That would also explain what you meant by special features...
Well, if that's the case, I would still encourage upgrading to the new set. The quality is great, and I'm sure these newly restored prints will look just fine on DVD too.
Otherwise, you could get your hands on a Blu-ray set for a decent price nowadays. If you want to go really cheap, you can probably find one at your local Goodwill.

Strangely enough, I don't find myself all that attached to the RHI volumes special features. Of course, I only have the 7 volumes that were reissued separately by RHI-Vivendi in 2011, so my extras are mostly intros and a few commentary tracks. The PQ on the ClassicFlix Complete Collection Blu-ray set titles are excellent! For now, I'm keeping the RHI and Cabin Fever DVDs, especially as I've started posting screenshot comparisons for each short on a Facebook group I started earlier today. Those who are interested, please feel free to check it out through this link:
