About 2 years ago I decided to check out a post at LordHeath.com by LAMPY MEIER with a possible death for SCOOTER's Mom in FL. I think he was correct and posted my evidence at the Our Gang Wikia. It's "buried" somewhere on the site. Here's what I posted:
SCOOTER LOWRY found dead (by police) 01 May 1989, Miami Beach FL.
A researcher, LampyMeier, posted at Lordheath.com, a death source for an "ELMER 'LOWERY' b.19 Dec 1919" died in Miami-Dade FL.
Knowing that SCOOTER's sister, LILLA (1916 -1983) lived in Lakeland FL sometime between 1950-1983, I thought it worth investigating further. I obtained Death Certificates for ANNA LOWRY (1888-1972) and ELMER "LOWERY" (1919-1989), both in Miami Beach FL.
SCOOTER's exact birthdate of 19 December 1919 as ELMER CAMDEN LOWRY born in NYC to ANNA L. LOWRY, step-daughter of ARTHUR SOUTHARD and natural daughter of his wife ROSE nee

ANNA (SCOOTER's Mom) was born in MD between 1888 and 1890. This is documentable.
ANNA (SCOOTER's Mom) was married to SCOOTER's Dad until their 1926 divorce (d.1941). This is documentable.
ANNA (SCOOTER's Mom) lived most of her life in NY (Long Island). This is documentable.
ANNA LOWRY, widow, who died 07 Dec 1972; b. 03 Jul 1888 (MD) has a SS Card issued in NY before 1951 (SSDI).
The "informant" with the above information for the 1972 Miami Beach Death Certificate for "ANNA LOWRY" is "ELMER LOWRY" who resides 1/2 mile away in the same city.
Fast-forward to 01 May 1989, Miami Beach FL, to an address about 1 mile from the address of ELMER "LOWRY" above. The police arrive and find a body. The only ID they find on the body is a FL Driver's License with the name ELMER "LOWERY" and a birth date of "19 Dec 1919".
Most of the other information on the Death Certificate is marked "unknown". SCOOTER's only living close relatives are his sister's 2 "kids" (BARBARA & RICHARD) who live in NY and do not have the surname "LOWERY" or "LOWRY". I don't know what became of SCOOTER's wife, SHIRLEY, after he sent police and paramedics to their L.I. residence on the pretense that she was threatening to commit suicide in the 1950's.
"Putting it all together", I have 90% confidence that Lampy Meier has discovered the death of SCOOTER LOWRY.

Note: SCOOTER's nephew, RICHARD BANGS, was living in either Taos, NM or Washington State in 1989. He died in 1994. I don't about his niece, BARBARA.
