Thanks to Rascals fan Karla Holland, we now know who played "Pleurisy" in THE SPANKING AGE and ELECTION DAY. Her name was Paralee Coleman, and she was in a few silent short comedies during the late '20s - including some with Mary Ann Jackson and Leon Janney. Unfortunately, little biographical information is known on her.

I'm guessing she just lived a rather quiet life. From census records: Apparently an only child, she got married at 16 to a Joe Pearson, who worked in a furniture factory. They were living with her parents, and her father did construction work. Neither she nor her mother were listed as having jobs. She picked up another last name along the way, and died rather young. www.findagrave.com/memorial/88368725/paralee-c-lambert

Thanks for the information and to those putting in the work to make the discovery. Could Powder-Puff be next?

Thanks for the information and to those putting in the work to make the discovery. Could Powder-Puff be next? I hope so. I wonder if payroll summaries from the weeks of shooting on "Sun Down" and "Every Man" mention him... and I wonder if those are even available.

But what became of Pneumothorax, Bronchiectasis and Atelectasis, to say nothing of Phthisis and Pneumonic Plague?
