Now I am an animal-lover (dog, 4 cats, 1 fish, bird-feeder in back yard)... but I am not crazy about PETA. I wonder what they would have done had Roach/McGowan filmed in our day. The mind boggles when considering what might get them upset: Willful sneezing at donkeys; Canine face-circle drawings; Chimps riding on ceiling fans; Monkeys playing with footlights; Doggies envisioned as salamis); Cats used as virtual fire alarms. I'm sure I've missed a few.

Dogs chasing cats in cages to power vehicles.
Embarrassing animals by putting various objects on them to pass for exotic animals in their circuses.
Racing them three times around a track as if they had a chance against a tricycle in Derby Day.
Ernie making Dinah the Mule retrieve his clothes when he could have easily done it himself in Our Gang.
Porky abusing those poor bears in Bear Facts by making them carry those heavy packages.

Having Billy Gilbert shoot at an innocent dog;
Bring a pig, frogs, mice and a goldfish to an animal show, without permission to enter;
Using unoffending skunkjs as a comic prop;
Showing the aftereffect of a dog chowing down on chickens.

I have a vague recollection of bits and pieces of it from God knows where, but to my recollection I never saw the whole thing. Best silent I've seen, a real goodie. (***HEDDA HOPPER?***) Of course, there was the much later IBEX, POTTO & CO. but Alfalfa ruined it by singing "She'll be comin' around the mountain" throughout.
