Hi. In an episode of the Little Rascals, (I believe called 'Our Gang Follies') The Brian Sisters sing 'How ya gonna keep em down on the farm'. But in the middle of the song, there are additional lyrics that make reference to assorted farm animals. These lyrics are not part of the original song's lyrics. Does anybody know what these lyrics are (it's a bit hard to understand them in the old recording) and/or does anybody know who wrote these supplemental lyrics? Thanks,
Wally Doo

The song is included in Our Gang Follies of 1936 and starts about 7 minutes into the video. It's 1:30 am here and I'm on my way to bed, so I don't have time to listen to it and attempt to transcribe it, sorry.

I've just played the mystery verse through a couple of times and some of the words I can't quite make out. However I think that this is the gist of it, although I may well have misheard some of the lyrics.
Well come on man, come on, man let’s go And I’ll recite to you, we’ll show The chickens and ducks and guinea hens The pigs and piggies in the ole pig pen Sheeps and lambs with woolly hairs And lots of rabbits, that were in the shed Horses and cows and everything There’s bees My, how they sting

This is what I hear -
We'll take you 'round the farm, come on, let's go And all the sights to you we’ll show The chickens and ducks and guinea hens The pigs and piggies in the ole pig pen Sheeps and lambs with woolly heads/hairs And lots of rabbits over in the shed There's horses and cows and everything (?) There’s the bees My, how they sting

I wouldn't disagree with you for a moment, the singing makes the lyrics a little difficult to decipher at times but we've got the general gist of the thing. I've no idea who wrote that extra verse though.
