How many of you remember actress May Wallace? She was a fairly tall middle aged woman with a big smile and a rather hearty laugh, who appeared in many Hal Roach films throughout the 1930s.Most memorable to me,is her role as wife of constable of Jenksville in the Little Rascals 1937 short "Roamin'Holiday",where Spanky,Alfalfa,Buckwheat and Porky decide to run away from home.Jenksville's constable was played by actor Otis Harlan, whos' screen name I actually named myself after, Hiram.Other Roach films May Wallace had appeared in: The Little Rascals/Love Business The Little Rascals/Arbor Day Charley Chase/The Chase Of Pimple Street Laurel & Hardy/County Hospital Laurel & Hardy/Way Out West Charley Chase/On The Wrong Trek Pick A Star She also supplied the voice over for Oliver Hardy's role as Stan Laurel's wife in the L&H short"Twice Two". For interest sake,I tried to find more information on her on the internet, with no luck.Does anyone else know anything more about her?
