Some of my favorite Scotty pictures. Might be repeats, my memory is failing me, but cute nonetheless. I love the picture from what I believe to be Mama's Little Pirate; Spanky looks so cute.

No shoes, no socks, no problem! (Be careful you don't step on any splinters and nails, Darla) ![](http://s12.postimg.org/dke371k4d/12274203_423429064521296_7834894881233968438_n.jpg) ^Taken from the 1982 animated episode "Cap'n Spanky's Showboat" (my favorite) on Dailymotion. And here's Darla in a bikini from 1982's "The Irate Pirates". it would be nice to see this one on DM someday. ![](http://s15.postimg.org/i6whdfcy3/Darla_in_a_bikini.jpg) You'll notice her bikini is a darker shade of pink than her traditional dress. Interestingly enough, I never got to know the girl as Darla until i first saw "The Irate Pirates." Plus, little did I know that its initial broadcast was just two days before what would have been Darla's 51st birthday. A little foot food for thought.

How 'bout some more Darla... barefoot style! ![](http://s12.postimg.org/dke371k4d/12274203_423429064521296_7834894881233968438_n.jpg) Taken from the 1982 animated episode "Cap'n Spanky's Showboat" on Dailymotion. I don't know, it looks like Darla could be wearing Ballet Slippers, there? ![;)](http://talk.livedaily.com/images/ld/smilies/wink.gif) CHEERS!

^ Unless her ballet slippers could be transparent. But no, strangely enough, Darla really was barefoot in that picture. I actually did see the episode on ABC back in the 80s (seven times), and she did reveal bare feet . I could see her toes clearly, and her feet were never covered (she didn't even wear sandals with very narrow straps). There was even a close-up of her bare feet (complete with toenails!) with brushes strapped to them. Darla had cleaned the floor with brushes strapped to her feet and used them like skates, and had to dip her foot in a big tub of water before launching the task (based on the splashing sound). Darla was barefoot afterwards at that point in the episode because she and Buckwheat had just finished the task at hand, upon discovering Alfalfa unintentionally spreading dirt on the floor that they had just cleaned. If not for the mishap, Darla would not have been seen barefoot. I wonder why "Cap'n Spanky's Showboat" was chosen as the last episode from Season 1 to be rebroadcast in Season 2? Was it possibly the highest-rated 11-minute cartoon from the first season? Still, those 4 1/2 seconds of barefoot Darla was the most vivid memory I have of the entire animated series. I do view the episode at least three days a year max - on the anniversary of the season 2 rebroadcasts (November 26, February 25, May 26, and sometimes August 25). I was originally planning on waiting until May 26 to post the picture, but I couldn't resist.

Speaking of the animated series, here's a favorite scene from "Beauty Queen For A Day", on Dailymotion. The reason I like this so much is probably due to the fact that my favorite couple for Darla (her and Spanky) can be seen, despite the fact that I'm sort of reaching, here. That, and it's a genuinely sweet moment of the gang fixing what they did wrong, which is heartwarming. Attachments:![](//storage.proboards.com/120825/thumbnailer/ylC4U47K004mVRz7gzRr.png)

Yes, wheezer, I agree that what the Rascals did to Darla was nasty. And dropped her in favor of a blonde girl named Dolly Van Dumpling, thus defeating the club's mission.
The He-Man Woman Haters Club was designed to promote discrimination, which was commonplace back in the day and years before, and is punishable by law in this day and age. The boys didn't allow Darla to join, and at the beauty contest the boys hurt her feelings and made her cry. But the boys obviously felt bad for Darla afterwards and wanted to include her in the club and celebrate their friendship, thus rendering the club's name a moot point.
I can see why modern-day revivals and movie versions would not allow such club to be prevalent. If you see a club in any modern-day Little Rascals remake or movie, expect to see Darla included.

Actually I do remember seeing the posters for "The Awful Tooth" and "Tiny Troubles" on page 15 in this thread. I did download the "Tiny Troubles" poster two days ago because it had cute artwork of Darla Hood.

This would have to be one of my favorite pictures of Porky. I don't quite know what it is about it that I like so much, but he looks rather charming, regardless. ![](https://40.media.tumblr.com/f1158fb81e943669c7a15ad81433bb7a/tumblr_o4o4686ew21upfk91o1_500.jpg)

My favorite Porky photo is the one showing him sitting on the sidewalk with a big dog - and imitating the dog's pants. It's a commonly-seen photo, and yet Google seems to be giving me no results for it. 10 internet points to whomever finds it. Perhaps fittingly, this was taken shortly after the Gang's move to Metro in 1938. ![](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/9f/65/1b/9f651b39a1c8b5e963bbd38de87b2a74.jpg)

Not much luck in looking for such a picture -- not that I know what it looks like, anyhow -- but I managed to snag a few more favorites, along the way. ![](https://40.media.tumblr.com/2fabdd536008d416e4062ac98831ae9f/tumblr_inline_o4o9j30mA81tpigwx_540.jpg) ![](https://36.media.tumblr.com/843bb39743394156b73f166f4cc22b09/tumblr_inline_o4o9azBmfP1tpigwx_540.jpg) What cute photos of both of them.
