Yet another lazy sod who can't be bothered to do any research about the item that they are selling. I can't be bothered to contact them and point out the numerous mistakes in their description let alone the fact that the dog looks more like Nipper of His Master's Voice fame and not even remotely like Petey. For more (completely wrong) information about 'Petey' click HERE where you can buy his photo for only $300

Hi, I reckon that it really was Darleena. They probably couldn't get the real Darla and just had somebody who was once an extra or bit part player on Our Gang and then billed her as 'Darleena' in the hope that some people might attend under the mistaken impression that it WAS the real Darla. As they say; you can't believe 99% of the claims made in advertisements It would appear that your theory was right. Interesting that there is a Pete present in these ads (greatly resembling the Pete from the 1931-32 era of the Gang), despite the fact that Pete had vanished from the series by 1940. Big thanks to Mandy from the Carl Dean Switzer Facebook page for posting these.

I don't think I've ever seen an instance like this. Oh, dear... These appear to be bootlegs of the Legend Films DVDs. At least I'm hoping they're bootlegs, and that no legitimate company would be careless enough to release these covers. Whatever the case, it's obvious the person that made these either didn't do their homework, or figured featuring the 90's cast would grab the attention of younger audiences. But if the latter is the case, the fact that both covers read 'first time in color' will likely confuse younger folks.

Well, either that or they just Googled 'Little Rascals' for suitable photos and used the first ones that came up.

I'm watching a documentary on Robert Blake. Boy, the people behind the scenes didn't research Our Gang very well. They claim it was a TV show that cancelled in 1942. And they try to pass off Scotty Beckett as a young Blake.

A Canadian Company that didn't know Mickey McGuire from Our Gang?!!? How embarrassing for we Canucks! To top it off, poor Hambone appears to have been depicted with the animated equivalent to Blackface!

Title card from the "Those Lovable Scallawags." This television series showcased the Pathe "Our Gang" silents, as well as films from "Mickey McGuire," "Hey Fellas!," "Big Boy," and others. I'll have to rewatch the silents, because I had no idea Spanky, Alfalfa, Jackie Cooper, and Dickie Moore were in them. Similarly, the old '50s Monogram reissue posters claim that Sunshine Sammy and Jackie Condon were in the talkies. EDIT: Just noticed a little blurb at the bottom: "All of the LITTLE RASCALS do not appear in each photoplay of the LITTLE RASCALS series.

Another comic - this time from Brazil. I don't know who the kid on the far left is supposed to be, but evidently, the one in the middle is Dorothy DeBorba. She looks more like Buster Brown, to me.
