Over the two and a bit decades that Our Gang was in production there were several hundred kids who played a role in the series. Some only appeared once or twice in background roles, some became major characters with many appearances under their belts. According to the laws of probability it seems very likely that at least some of those Rascals would in later life have been what is nowadays described as 'gay.' But which ones? It isn't something that I've ever seen mentioned anywhere and I'm just curious. So little information is available about most of the Rascals that I'd find it virtually impossible to even hazard any sort of a guess about most of them but I'm wondering if anyone knows something that I don't?

I haven't heard anything about any of the actors from the series coming out. Still, they're from a generation where that just wasn't done.
It's possible some of them were but just never discussed it publicly. And, of course, it would've been considered rude to speculate.

We finally have an 'Out' Gay Rascal, albeit second or third generation.
Blake McIver Ewing, the young man who played Waldo in the 1994 movie, recently Came Out. If I remember correctly, he co-hosts a radio program or somesuch now and has done several interviews on the subject.

Tommy Bupp never married. That's just a fact and I'm not reading anything into it.

I'm certainly glad that I didn't infer anything about Tommy Bupp's sexuality or now I'd have felt like a right dick. IMDb has it's facts wrong (that makes a change, not). Tommy was married, to a woman, and they had five children. I think it's fairly safe to assume that Tommy Bupp was not gay. It's All In The Family For Tom Bupp

Despite many light hearted insinuations to the contrary Sherwood 'Spud' Bailey wasn't gay either. Sherwood married and had kids. In a weird twist of fate he passed away on his own 64th birthday. Sherwood Bailey's Obituary

Bug Hall apparently isn't gay either, although he once tweeted "I'm not gay but when I see myself in a mirror I think to myself, I'd do that guy." He is however a bit of an exhibitionist, if having posting naked selfies online fits into that definition. If you really want to see his selfies click on the link below. Bug Hall is a Bearded, Pierced and Tatted LumbersexualHe's certainly changed a fair bit since the only part of him that stood to attention was his cowlick.

He'll certainly never be short of admirers, at least not while there's a mirror handy. I wonder if he signs his Valentine's Cards to himself or leaves himself to guess who they came from?

Might as well bring this up again...
I like to joke The Gay Rascal turns up in OUR GANG FOLLIES OF 1938. If you'll remember, Alfalfa is billed as 'King of the Crooners' and something of a mock-heart-throb. When he makes his initial entrance, the girls all sigh... And if you look closely, so does one boy.
Obviously, it's not intended as anything and the kid, an extra, was probably just trying to do the 'right' reaction. But it amuses.

Nice spot, I remember seeing that little scene and laughing at the time but I'd forgot all about it.

No, behind him and to the left. Still, close enough. And you caught another thing I love, the kid next to him's "Dude, WTF?" reaction.

The boy who I arrowed did swoon a little but gee, I didn't notice the boy who you meant, I think that he thought that he'd died and went to heaven.

Character actors Franklin Pangborn (the photographer in "Wild Poses") and Johnny Arthur (Darla's father in "Feed 'em and Weep") were both homosexual in real life.

I didn't know that but I can't say that I'm surprised about either, they were both somewhat effete. Not that all gay propel are effete of course but some undoubtedly are.
