Hey all,
In case anyone was interested, my Our Gang silent edits are no longer available on Youtube. I had a false copyright claim on a few of the films. The person making the claim wasn't interested in shutting down my videos. They simply wanted to add advertising to them in order to turn a profit for themselves. Furthermore, someone has copied a few of my edits and are selling them on DVD on AMAZON.COM no less.
I am not interested in making money with anything I've done with these films. My friends and I have put in a lot of effort (and MONEY) in order to make some of these films available. I apologize to those that enjoyed viewing the films that I was able to provide.
I want to thank the people that greatly helped me in my project, some of who are on this board. I will continue working on the films, but I have no intention of making them publicly available at this time. Let's hope that a complete restored set of Our Gang silents becomes available someday. I highly recommend supporting Robin and C-W Films when his upcoming Our Gang silent disc becomes available.

gggggeeeeeezzzz, I know your stuff is good work but how good can YouTube rip to DVD be??? Answer: Just like the rest of the bootleg DVD's the scumbags peddle.
It sucks I know...same thing happens with the film I spend thousands of $$$ on having made. At lease now, anything I put on youtube has my URL right across the image. I place them there for ME and my website so I don't care about the complaints of the URL.

You don't have to apologize for taking down the youtube silents; I am thankful that they were up there long enough for me and other honest fans to see them all. You did what you had to do under the circumstances. A handful of screen captures from those on the Our Gang Wiki, but no one is making any money from that. I don't think many people go to that site anyway.
I will support Robin and C-W films when the disc becomes available. There will be hard-to-find material not on that though. I'm perfectly willing to pay you for your work, but won't buy anything from anyone who stole your material.
Good luck in your future work on the films, and I hope some day some medium for broadcasting will turn out to be suitable, perhaps like some private channel for a limited time.

Awww, those were good too! I agree with OPT, though--many of those had some pretty low resolutions and would look horrid ripped onto DVD.
The same thing happened with someone putting his own personal collection of Siskel & Ebert recordings that he collected as far back as the 70s on Youtube for a few years (Roger Ebert even endorsed the effort) before it was taken down by some dude claiming copyright on "Purple Rain" footage. Thankfully, the project was restarted on a new website using Pakplayer video host.
I'm also someone who would pay to get hard-to-find Our Gang material (heck, any quality silent OG material) from someone who put it together honestly.
To the OP, thanks fore the hard work and hang in there!
