Hey, all. What's your favorite "Our Gang" video collection? Mine is "Our Gang Comedy Festival Vol. 2", it's been out for awhile and has become somewhat scarce. Once upon a time (in the mid-1990s) you could get it at grocery stores for around $4.99. Some of you very serious fans/collectors wouldn't like it, because it is a little choppy. Some shorts are left in full, but some are merely a fragment of the original. What I like about it is that it features "lost Our Gang episodes". These installments are in color and feature a brand new "Gang". There are two episodes, one features the kids with some kind of lemonade machine (on wheels) that they drive around selling lemonade. The other one (longer and funnier) is a court scene where Speck reads his poetry to the judge. I believe those episodes were from 1944.
This collection also features the Our Gang kids with Laurel and Hardy.
So, what was your favorite, I'd also be interested to know if any of you have this particular video and what you thought of the "lost" Gang.

"Our Gang Comedy Festival #2" was one of the first videos I got almost ten years ago. I consider this to be one of the best documentary videos (notice, not *the* best) for the reason it has "Shivering Spooks" complete, Giants Vs. Yanks" near complete, and parts of "Boys Will Be Boys" (retitled as "Carnival Time" in this TV version). It was the first time I had the chance to see the silent films, especially since it was marketed as "lost", which in reality, they were never lost. Though, they're still special and entertaining.
The "new cast" flick you see in the video was actually done in 1947 when Hal Roach decided to try to make another Our Gang-type series, which failed.
As for my favorite video... my favorite commercial video will probably be "The Little Rascals Comedy Classics Volume 1", containing six two-reelers. This is a VERY old release and I have fond memories of seeing the video for the first time long ago.
Though, my favorite non-commercial video is the one containing all nine of the MGM Our Gang shorts, which I have been trying to locate for many years.

Hello I'm a 17 year old little rascals Fan from Germany (so excuse my bad english). My favorite DVD is only available in Germany. We've got only three DVDs with 6 Episodes each in case. All Episodes are in color and very good quality in contrast to the american originals. In addition we've got only episodes from 1930-1938. For me the best episodes are the ones with Alfalfa (Glove Tabs ; Our Gang follies of 1936/1938 ; Came the Brawn ; Sprucin up etc) You can't imagine how hard it is for me to get original episodes. In the USA you've got an other Videostandart (NTSC) than we have here in Germany. You have to be very happy to have the ability to watch all episodes I dream of (like Alfalfas Aunt; Alfalfas Double) Alfalfa is the best Here is the cover of one of our DVDs

Hello, Everyone! I'm new on this board.
I've been collecting Our gang videos since I was 9 years old. Most of my videos are discontinued. I like all the Our Gang silents from 1922-1927 and the talkies from 1929-34. The 20's ruled! Anyway, the video collections are alright IMO, but they would be better if one of the distributors created a colection with the shorts in chronological order (of the release dates, of course). I could enjoy the rascals like the original theatrical audiences, sort of. I have "our gang comedy festival" 1 and 2, to be honest the only good things in each video respectivley is the "You asked for it" footage and the "pete the pup at the convention" footage. I also want that first "our gang" short too! It's sad that half the silents are "lost" or unavailable for video.
