Hey Mark, I noticed from your list that you have volume 9 of the HenryButch silents. So, did he mistakenly list "One Wild Ride" in his ad where he should have listed "Tire Trouble"?

Oops, I just noticed this thread. Sorry I didn't reply earlier. "One Wild Ride" should have been "Tire Trouble." He listed that by mistake, so that's why there's "Tire Trouble" on my list for Volume 9.

Thanks, Mark. Although I do actually have a followup question, which is directed not just to Mark but to anybody that bought these homemade tapes from HenryButch. As I've only got volumes 2, 7 and 8, I'm curious about which versions of the films appear on the remaining volumes. Also, did anybody on the board ever buy HenryButch's MGM tapes?

For Volume 9-

Volume 4-
Boys Will Be Joys- Grapevine Good Cheer- Grapevine The Mysterious Mystery (it has the original opening. Almost complete) Monkey Business (the version I think is nearly complete, with the original opening) Seeing the World- the version with the original opening and nearly complete)

Awesome! Thanks so much, Mark. Considering how often he got stuff from other sources, I wonder where he found "The Spanking Age" and the alternate "War Feathers" on volume 1. Must have been some company that disappeared before I started collecting silents.

I have no clue, unfortunately. I've wondered that myself.~~ *edit*- I just remembered I think I saw a website several years ago listing these shorts for sale (kind of like those "generic" sites selling bootleg videos of L&H, Three Stooges, Our Gang, etc.) but I don't think it exists anymore. I never found it again.
Hey, by the way, I did a trade a while back and got 1-hour speed DVD dubs of the 19-episode MGM laserdisc set, "Our Gang Comedies." Those silent episodes are beautiful with fantastic piano music!! Near-complete versions of both The Fourth Alarm and Monkey Business were used here, as well as of course the others. The whole set is nice including all the talkies.

I'm going to have to look for someone who has Cabin Fever volumes 13-21 on laserdisc to put them on DVD for me. Laserdisc to DVD is like official DVD quality!
