I have a film I can't find! My husband recently bought an old film reel and we discovered an "our Gang" silent short on it. It is called "Who's a Sissy?" We looked it up on the web to find out some info on it, and we can't find it anywhere!! Was the name of it changed? It opens with a little boy wearing a barrel waiting for his clothes to be washed. Later, the gang helps him to take somone elses clothes? I can't recognize which characters are in it, but the little boy waiting for clothes is referred to as "Snowy" I believe. It also features Dinah the Mule. Please, if you have any info, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!

Well, the title sounds like "Playin' Hookey" from 1928, when the silents were re-released for home viewing under different titles.
But your description actually matches the very first Our Gang film (?!). The "Donkey Delivery Co." version of the first film doesn't even have that part in it. Do you have a copy of the 9.5mm extract or something?? Robin (rarefilms) has it and released it on video.

The title of the shortened version of "Playin' Hookey" is actually called "Who's Afraid". "Who's a Sissy" is the title of the other 16mm extract that we used for our video version of the first Our Gang comedy, besides the two 9.5mm ones.

Hey, thanks guys! Robin, Do you know anything else about this "who's a Sissy" film I have? I mean, is it rare? I'd hate to sell it or something without knowing what I really have. And, I can find no other info anywhere to know what I should do with it. I appreciatie the help! Thanks!

I assume it isn't that rare. I recently picked up an 8mm copy of it.
