LITTLE SINNER aired with not only the baptism but also the quick scene with the two Black men talking in dialect intact. So presumably they're not censoring too much for content, or have changed their standards.

Shorts for November 5:
"Sprucin' Up" "Helping Grandma" "Pay as You Exit"
I do have one question. Since "School's Out" and "Our Gang Follies of 1938" are in the public domain, is there still a chance of them airing in MeTV's run?

They're part of the TV package - as is "Bear Shooters," which is also PD.

Shorts for November 19:
"Arbor Day" "Mush and Milk" "Roamin' Holiday"
Of the three, only "Arbor Day" was not aired on WDIV in Detroit.
Regarding the add-in background music, is it actually modern-day music? It would seem awkward if it is.
I actually wonder if "Hide and Shriek" will end up being the last fresh episode to air in MeTV's run? It would make sense if it did. Final Hal Roach era short, final fresh episode on MeTV.

If by modern-day music, you mean rap music, or whatever it is the kids are into these days, then I doubt it. You're right, that would seem awkward!
From what I've heard, not only has someone been adding music, but also new sound effects, According to one view, yesterday's showing of HELPING GRANDMA included sounds of paper rustling, and also an envelope. When appropriate, of course.
Needless to say, all of this playing around with the soundtracks hasn't sat well with some of the Rascal enthusiasts, including Dick Bann.

This may be obvious to some, but might this be a case of MeTV avoiding having to pay out for music rights? I find it interesting that with the complicated rights issues which have plagued the Hal Roach sound comedies over the past couple of decades that nothing regarding music replacement (Never mind sound effects!) has really come up in terms of Television broadcasts before now, at least to my knowledge! CHEERS!

On some of the films, there is additional Leroy Shield music playing, sometimes over existing music, such as with DIVOT DIGGERS, which is one film that does not need additional music added!
Also, they are showing scenes that have long been cut from television showings.

Shorts for November 26:
"Beginner's Luck" "Boxing Gloves" "Hide and Shriek"
Given that, on average, three shorts air per week, I'd say we have a ways to go before all of the available shorts are exhausted.

I wonder if they'll try to dub over the silent bits in BOXING GLOVES.

I wonder if they'll try to dub over the silent bits in BOXING GLOVES. Much as I love it, if MeTV inserts the "Gonna Fly Now" Rocky Theme, I'm leaving! (At least I would if we got MeTV, to begin with!) CHEERS!

Shorts for December 3:
"Birthday Blues" "Bargain Days" "Two Too Young"
Is it true that the second short's title has an "s" on the end?

Shorts for December 17:
"Wild Poses" "Our Gang Follies of 1936" (Darla Hood's debut) "Glove Taps"
Incidentally, "Follies of 1936" was one of the only four, maybe five, Our Gang shorts that were recreated for the clay-animated series that were produced but never made it to air.
Also, has "Second Childhood" aired on MeTV in this series yet?
I also wonder if there will be a pre-emption on December 24 due to possibly a Christmas Eve marathon?
The shorts that fell into the public domain apparently have not aired as yet, it seems.

Incidentally, "Follies of 1936" was one of the only four, maybe five, Our Gang shorts that were recreated for the clay-animated series that were produced but never made it to air. According to Dick Bann, there could have been as many as ten of those made. We don't really know for sure. I've got five in my personal collection ("Follies of 1936," "Second Childhood," "Shiver My Timbers," "Hearts Are Thumps," Came the Brawn"). At least one person has a copy of a claymation the other Our Gang Follies ("Follies of 1938"). Despite what has been previously said about the claymation shorts never being commercially sold, they were shown on some local stations very briefly. They didn't go over too well. Unsurprising when actually watching one. While the hard work put into the animation is commendable, the novelty wears off fairly quickly. Evidently, this was King World's way of having the Rascals in color, before film colorization was properly developed.
