I have always felt that, while excellently performed, a few of the Beau Hunks Orchestra's recreations of the Leroy Shield tunes sounded a tad off. I attempted to play around with the audio on these tunes, in hopes to approximate the original recordings. Here is my first edit, "Prelude", which was used most frequently in the 1931/32 melodramatic OG shorts.

Yes, Legend Films had my old channel taken down because they claimed to own the rights to some of my videos. Emphasis on "claimed". I'll re-upload these to my new channel eventually.
EDIT: Both videos have been re-uploaded.

I'll look forward to listening to your takes on these as well.
Without knowing what you've done, I've always felt that the one thing the Beau Hunks tended to do with their recreations is to take some of the songs at too fast a tempo. I don't know if this is what you've changed on yours or not, but it would seem a good place to start.

If I'm not mistaken, the Beau Hunks used the films themselves as sources for recreating these tunes (sadly, the original tracks haven't survived). If that is the case, then my theory is that the band would sometimes use PAL prints as references, which would most certainly give the sounds a faster tempo. I'll simply drag the pitch of a tune down by about 6%.

Just to get even more technical, are the Beau Hunks recreations in the same key as the originals? Or are they slightly sharp when compared with them? I ask because, if they happen to be pretty close in pitch, it would be possible to slow them down without actually altering the pitch at the same time.

As far as I can tell, the majority of the tunes are in the same key as the originals.
