Just for fun, pick Rascals members from different periods in the series history-characters who never met-and decide whether or not they would get along, and why or why not.
Breezy and Jackie - No. Two take charge, bossy types. Don't see how they could find a common ground. One would have to take a backseat to the other, and that wouldn't happen.
Chubby and Waldo - Yes, Both had a love for poetry, I could see Waldo turning him on to the masters, and Chubby being enthralled.
Mary Ann and Darla - Probably not. I think Mary Ann was too tomboyish for Darla, and Darla was too refined for her.

Alfalfa and Mickey Daniels - Yes and no. I can see these two getting along. They're both sort of goofy, go crazy over pretty girls, get a bit egotistic from time to time, etc. However, it could be a problem if Alfalfa were to fall for Mary Kornman.
Spanky and Jackie Cooper - Yes, I can see Spanky looking up to Jack. They're both born leaders; and while both can get somewhat bossy, I don't think they would ever try to overpower each other.
Porky and Chubby - Yes. 'Nough said.
Darla and Mary Kornman - Yes. Again, I can see Darla seeing Mary as a role model.
Mary Ann Jackson and Spud Bailey - No. Mary Ann would probably think Spud as too much of a wimp, while Spud would probably see Mary as too bossy.

What a wonderful picture of Mary and Darla, zootmoney.
Darla and Jean: I could picture them as friends, unless a boy came between them.
Farina and Buckwheat: two guys named after breakfast cereal with simular hair styles would have to get along.
Mickey G. and Mickey D. : No, Mickey G's whining and goody two shoes attitude would probably get on Mickey D's nerves
Mary and Mary Ann: I could see them making mud pies together

Wally Albright and Jackie Cooper: Both the All-American leader of the gang boys, and they also kind of look alike, I think they'd get along well. and also, Dickie Moore and Jackie Cooper seeing how the thing they have in common is that they both went on to become big stars of their time, though I'm not so sure how well they'd get along.

Actually, there was a movie --Think it was O'SHAUNNESSEY'S BOY-- where Spanky played Jackie Cooper as a younger child.
Spanky and Scotty / Porky and Buckwheat - "Wha'd he say?" "Heck, I dunno..."
Toughey and Butch - Actually, I'm inclined to think Toughey could beat the snot outta Butch. I always got the feeling he was mostly bluff...
Darla and Jean Darling - Look out, boys!

Wheezer to Mickey G: Quit your whining over the hash already or I'll pop you on the chin and really give you something to cry about.

Some Rascals (Joe Cobb, Scotty, Stymie, Dickie) seem like they'd get along with everybody.
Spanky and Alfalfa would NOT enjoy looking after Baby Wheezer or Baby Farina. Too much trouble. Also, I can envision a fighting-over-the-same-girl episode involving Alfalfa and Mickey Daniels. I can also see Mickey D. having a crush on Miss Crabtree, which would not make Jackie Cooper too happy.

Sorry to go off topic, but in that 15 year reunion video, who is the other dark-haired little girl (the one who isn't Darla)?

Oh okay. I've always wondered who she was since I saw that clip on my "Our Gang Story" VHS. The mystery has been solved!

Alfalfa and Harry Spear: I think Alfalfa would have loved to produce Harry as his friend when he felt threatened by Butch. And Harry would have relished the prospect of a fight.
Alfalfa, Harry Spear and Sherwood Bailey: Yes, all three could have compared missing teeth, counted freckles and swapped dresses.
Janet Burston and anybody: No.
