What's the weirdest dream you've ever had, that you can remember? I once had a really weird dream about Simon and Garfunkel.
In the dream they were a couple with whom my wife and I happened to be good friends. We were living in an apartment in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin, (on Fourth Street, above Rocky Rococo for those of you who live there) when Simon and Garfunkel came by to visit, to show a DVD of some photos they had taken on a recent trip. They didn’t want us to let anyone know they were there, so they could keep a low profile and avoid the publicity.
While they were there, a friend of mine called. Because in the dream he was really into their music, I wanted to tell him they were there – but I instead honored their request.
I have no idea where that dream came from. Neither my wife nor I (or the friend of mine who called, for that matter) is really into Simon and Garfunkel (although we can appreciate their music), and none of us have ever lived in Wisconsin.
Further, Simon and Garfunkel, from what I understand, can hardly stand to be in the same room as each other. (That, and of course, they are not a couple.)

Here's another one that's possibly weirder than my Simon and Garfunkel dream. I had recently quit smoking and was wearing the patch overnight, so I think that contributed heavily to this dream:
I was walking down the street in the neighborhood I grew up in (as an adult). One of the kids from the neighborhood (somehow, still a kid in the dream) was delivering his newspapers. He came out of a house and told me I "just had to come in and see this."
I went into the house, and the owners had a pet rabbit on their kitchen table - crawling across the surface of the table on its back, using its forepaws to butter a slice of bread on its stomach. The rabbit was smoking a cigarette.
There may have been other smoking animals in that dream. That, or the rabbit had other antics. This is the part I most remember.
In turn, I went outside and told the a guy in a lift truck working on the power lines he had to come in and see the same thing. It turned out he was a bully I had gone to school with.

Most dreams that I have are intricately woven within the details of my life, so a description of any particularly unusual ones wouldn't mean a whole lot to most people.
I have dreamed a couple of times about meeting Bobby Hutchins. Each time he was approximately four, five or six years old, as he was for much of his time with The Gang, but my mind was able to suspend disbelief for a long enough period of time to let me believe that the dreams were real while I was having them. One time I asked him a few questions, but I only remember his answers to two of them, and they were fairly vague. When I asked him about how his parents treated him, he didn't really want to talk about it, so I didn't press. When I asked him if he knew of Mary Kornman or had seen the Our Gang films from when she had been the lead female star, he indicated that he did know of her, and had seen the films, but that was pretty much the extent of what he said about that. He gave responses to all of my questions, but I believe that the reason I don't recall more of what he said is because I was somewhat awed just to be in the presence of the Bobby Hutchins. I asked him questions and tried to listen to how he answered, but I guess that I was so excited just to be meeting him in person that I was focused mostly on him, even to the partial exclusion of what he had to say. Such is life, I suppose. I can't even guarantee that my response would be any different if this actually somehow happened!
I'm not sure why I've dreamed multiple times about meeting Bobby Hutchins in particular; he's one of my favorite few Gangsters, but he's not my all-time favorite.
I've never dreamed about stumbling upon a film reel copy of Yale Vs. Harvard; if I do, however, and I'm able to find a way to pull it from my dream, then I promise to send it to either Robert Demoss or Wayne Tuell to get it properly preserved. ;-)

That is an interesting dream!
I had an Our Gang dream involving Harry Spear - I had tracked him down to living in what appeared to be a hospital, but might have been a boarding house. He was in a wheelchair, and wore a pink shirt with "Harry" embroidered over one of the pockets. He was somewhat surprised Maltin and Bann hadn't been able to track him down, and said something like "Yeah, I've just been here," indicating that he wasn't in hiding, or anything. He seemed to be interested in hearing from fans.
The weird thing was, he looked like Geoffrey Lewis (who appeared in several movies with Clint Eastwood, for those who don't know). It was almost as if Harry was being played by another actor in the dream.
This was during the early 80s when I was attempting to track down some of the gang. Finding Harry was one of my goals at that time.

Very interesting dreams!
Probably the strangest dream I've had that comes to mind is one that I had about a year ago. I found a way to get to this extremely popular place (for some reason I want to say it was Heaven, but I can't be too sure about that). But here's the weird part: the only way to get to it was by being flushed down the toilet. When I got there, all I recall is being in a big dimly lit room with about a handful of people in it. Oddly, everybody was sitting on shelves, much like a toy would.
As for Rascal related dreams, I actually did have one where I found a copy of “Yale vs. Harvard”. All I remember is a scene with the Gang playing football in someone’s backyard. It was a pretty fence-in area, with a shack in it. Somebody threw the football and it went flying pretty high.
Most of my other Rascal dreams involve viewing lost footage or a deleted scene from the 1994 movie.

It was almost as if Harry was being played by another actor in the dream. I can imagine that. Sort of a "The role of Harry Spear is now being played by Geoffrey Lewis" kind of moment, like happens occasionally on daytime television. This was during the early 80s when I was attempting to track down some of the gang. Finding Harry was one of my goals at that time. I know that Harry Spear was eventually found, but did you ever have any smaller measure of success of your own in tracking him down back when you were searching for him in the early 1980s? That would have been some steep hill to climb, I'd wager. That reminds me a little bit of the 2006 computer animated movie Flushed Away. I've never actually seen the movie, but I saw the trailers on television often enough to get a basic sense of what the film was about. I first read your post about that several months ago, in the "Ever had a Rascals related dream?" thread from April of 2010. A couple of you reported having had dreams like that, of serendipitously finding footage of lost silent Our Gang films such as Yale Vs. Harvard or The Holy Terror. I find a lot of interesting material, not to mention answers to a fair number of my questions, by reading through old threads on these boards. There's a good wealth of knowledge available in those past conversations.

I have a lot of dreams where my mother and father are still alive. I'm always saddened when I awake.
