I haven't heard very much in the media about David Nelson's death since its happening on January 11, but here's a Los Angeles Times news article that acknowledges the loss: articles.latimes.com/2011/jan/12/local/la-me-david-nelson-20110112 I've always thought it interesting that before David and Ricky Nelson were old enough to portray themselves on the family's radio program, the voices for their characters were provided by other actors. The acclaimed Henry Blair lent his vocal skills as Ricky, and David Nelson's part was performed first by Joel Davis, and then later by Tommy Bernard. David Nelson was the last surviving core member of the famous T.V./radio family.

It seems as though the news of his death may have been overshadowed by the ongoing coverage of the shootings in Arizona. Here's a nice tribute from Jimmy Hawkins who worked on the Ozzie and Harriet Show in the later years: www.minorcon.org/david_nelson2.html
