To the best of my knowledge, Darla was technically not involved in the Little Rascals as a gang… I don't understand this statement. Obviously, Darla was a regular cast member of the Our Gang Comedies shorts. But even viewing "Our Gang" as being exclusively populated by male members, with females existing only for the boys to pursue, is historically quite wrong. Mary Kornman, Jean Darling, Mary Ann Jackson, Dorothy DeBorba, et al were (in most of the shorts) just as full-fledged Gang members as the boys were. For Darla, this can easily be said of shorts such as "The Pinch Singer," "Divot Diggers," "Pay as You Exit" and others. The bottom line is that Darla Hood was clearly a part of the Our Gang universe, just as her predecessors had been.

Okay, this is sad but not all that surprising.
Recently, Fox News had an article with an interview of Sid Kibrick, the Woim.
Yeah, that's sad enough but what makes it REALLY pathetic, though not that amazing for Fox News... Look, admittedly Sid/Woim wasn't the biggest star in the shorts. His schtick was to follow Butch around and straight for him. But honestly, it's not that hard to find a good picture of him, even with a quick Google Search.
They either couldn't manage it or didn't bother. Of all the various Rascals photos, only two showed Sid, both times off to the side in a group photo. The picture they use to hype the interview features Butch, Alfalfa, and Spanky with Sid almost completely cropped out.
C'mon, he's the Last Rascal Standing. He deserves better than this!

Another SNL reference.
I recently watched the 25th Anniversary Special. Billy Crystal came out on stage as his Fernando Lamas character and attempted one of those "we've got X celebrity in our audience" bits. But the joke was that he couldn't get his famous people straight. He refers to Chris Rock as Eddie Murphy, and compliments him on his Alfalfa impression.

Funny you mention that. Finding decent Woim pics has always been a challenge, for whatever reason. I was recently asked if I had any that Sid could use for autographs (just Sid by himself, no one else in the photo). In the end, I resorted to taking a screenshot from "Anniversary Trouble". He wasn't Woim yet, but it's one of the few times we get a nice Sid closeup. There is a photo from "Auto Antics" used in this article that probably would have been a better choice for the Fox people. www.bakersfield.com/entertainment/new-hollywood-exhibit-celebrates-our-gang-film-shorts/article_77826f2e-0d21-11ed-9a81-5fbdcd55d383.html?fbclid=IwAR06S4FsyV8fy2bW2_O72RKdsckFu8_gHoIn9PFvtB1f9pqERAH6yasbkuY

Another one...
In the book THE ROAD TO OZ about the making of the classic film THE WIZARD OF OZ, it's reported there was some discussion of having young children play the Munchkins. However, it was thought that many children would be difficult to manage so they decided to use Little People instead.
It's suggested FOLLIES OF '38 perhaps gives some insight into the original idea.
They also say Tommy Bond said he'd wanted to be a member of The Lollipop Guild but was rejected as too tall.

Can't believe I never mentioned this before...
The 1986 low-budget movie THE AURORA ENCOUNTER featured a grown Spanky MacFarland in a small role.
The film was inspired by the 1897 newspaper hoax about a crashed spaceship. (Some people still try to claim it was real, which makes me crazy. Dear GOD, people, if an alien spaceship crashed near a small town, don't you think it would at least make the front page of the local newspaper?)
Another controversy involved the 'alien.' In a debatably tasteless move, the producers saved money on special effects by casting a small boy who suffered from a rare disease which made him prematurely bald and withered. According to reports, however, the kid enjoyed being a 'movie star,' so there was that.

This might count.
Olive Brasno, who guested with her brother George in 'Arbor Day' and 'Shrimps For A Day', guested on a 1952 Abbot and Costello Christmas Show. George wasn't there; Olive and her full-sized partner Buster Shaver did their 'Doll Dance' routine.

I get that she'd be a good 15 years older here than in her 'Our Gang' days, so perhaps it could just be her facial appearance changed quite a lot in that time?
While the general video quality of this clip is rather poor, there's a pretty good shot of her face at the 2:54 mark:

They're identified in the credits as 'Buster Shaver and Olive.' The Brasnos are known to have done a dance routine with Buster Shaver. It seems likely it's her.

Another oddball entry...
NOBODY'S FOOL: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF SCHLITZIE THE PINHEAD is a graphic novel biography the cult-famous sideshow performer. It includes a condensed version of Schlitzie's interactions with then ex-Rascal turned movie star Jackie Cooper.
(Briefly, Schlitzie, a developmentally disabled and deformed adult, was on the MGM movie lot as a cast member of the now notorious film FREAKS. He developed a sort of crush on little Jackie and took to following him and hugging him whenever he got the chance. Needless to say, Jackie was thoroughly terrified.)

More Rascals in other roles but that thread is buried deep, so let it lie in its smelly sleep...
Anyway, Philip Macmahon, AKA Tommy Ryan, AKA that weird kid who dueted with Georgia Jean LaRue in FOLLIES OF 38, has a small role in the Bobby Breen vehicle MAKE A WISH. Another occasional supporting Rascal, Billy Lee, has a slightly larger supporting role. The film is set at a summer camp; they play Bobby Breen's bunkmates.
Jerry Tucker is apparently also roaming around there but I wasn't able to find him.

Found Jerry Tucker elsewhere. In the serial DICK TRACY RETURNS, he plays Junior.
