I love this era of Disney animated features. I have all the Renaissance films on both VHS and DVD. Probably why people love this era is because of the emotions and meanings of the films.

I don't actually like any Disney movies at all, so for me there was no renaissance. If anything the newer ones are noticeably inferior to the older ones. I dislike the way that they take original stories and give then the 'Disney' treatment, resulting in them all having the same characters just with different names and likenesses, although even those are repeated somewhat from movie to movie. Young Arthur (Wart) in The Sword And The Stone is simply a slightly older version of Christoper Robin in Winnie The Pooh. I also dislike the Americanization of stories that originated elsewhere. Even as a seven year old, watching The Sword In The Stone, I was thinking to myself, this is wrong, there are no chipmunks in Britain and there were no grey squirrels here either, until they were introduced in the 1800s, long after the story of Arthur was set.
