I just found out on the IMBD website that Jackie Cooper's daughter Julie died. Does anyone know what caused her death? I felt sad after finding out that she died young.

I was reading Jackie Cooper's bio on the Turner Classics Movie website, and I finally found out how his daughter Julie died. She died from a massive stroke at age 39 in September 1997. So sad!

Actually, the stroke cause of death turned out to be the family's agreed-upon smoke screen for the real cause of daughter Julie's untimely passing. She really died of blunt force head trauma caused by a night-stick wielding police officer. The cause of the incident hasn't been divulged that I know of. But you can see the blunt force trauma referenced on various places on the internet.

I don't suppose that the cause of death makes much difference to anyone except her immediate family and friends, who probably already had far more information about it than they ever chose to release to the public, which is entirely within their rights.

Julie Cooper was 40 when she died from the blunt force trauma to her head in 1997. Her sister , Christine , died at age 50. I think it terribly sad that both Jackie Cooper and his wife, Barbara, outlived their 2 daughters. The 2 sons of Jackie Cooper did outlive their Dad. Jackie Cooper had one son from his first wife and a son and 2 daughters with his 3rd and last wife, Barbara Krause. How sad that Jackie Cooper never got around to writing that 2nd book about the last 20-30 years of his life!! I bet the early deaths of his 2 daughters probably nearly destroyed Jackie and Barbara, and took the air out of their sails! Few of us humans walk through his earth leave it without our lists of tragedies/loss/and sadness!! Rest In Peace Jackie, Barbara, Julie, Christine and to all Jackie Cooper family members who have passed on to their next phase of their lives after leaving these earthly bounds!! And many, many , many thanks to you, Jackie, for the millions of miles of entertainment that you provided to America and the world. As a 71 year-old woman who has had you in my life for as long as I can remember-both as a child actor and then as an adult entertainer, actor!!
