While looking for Little Rascals comedies available on DVD, I came across this webpage: www.thevintagetheatre.com/littlerascals.htmlThe films included in this set are identical to the two VHS boxed sets issued by Cabin Fever (right down to running order). Does anybody out there know if these DVD's have used the Cabin Fever set as a master? I'm also wondering if anyone out there has had the chance to see these and can comment on the quality. Thanks, Jayson Spank

I have the set you are referring to. The films seem to be taken from the Cabin Fever releases and are very good as far as picture quality is concerned. It may just be me , but the picture often seems darker than it does with the Cabin Fever versions. Sometimes the opening titles seem to go away too quick, but otherwise the set is very nice in my opinion.

This is considered to be one of the bootleg DVD releases, (or at least I think it is).

I have to confess that I don''t know how to tell if a film for sale is bootleg or not. I would assume that any film offered for sale on the internet is legal to be sold. (Am I very naive with such an assumption? ). It's sure possible that something can be legal but not ethical

I don't think selling something on the internet automatically makes it legal, but it does give me pause to see that some of that stuff is available through Amazon.

I don't know why I didn't think of it yesterday: we can check "The Lucky Corner" for it has a long listing of sellers including the bootleg ones. I'm surprised at my ineptitude sometimes. Ooops!, I went back to check and could not find any bootleg companies listed on "The Lucky Corner" Maybe there's been a revision to the site that I missed out knowing about, for I would have sworn that I remembered seeing a listing of the bootlegs on that site Sincere apologies to Bob!

Yeah, there used to be a list of bootlegs, but I guess Bob decided that it would be pretty pointless to list all of these, since more and more were being put out. Instead, he briefly says that a certain film has been released on several bootlegs.

Yes, and I'm actually him in case anybody's wondering. I got fed up with keeping track of every new bootleg that popped up month after month. So basically, if it was released by Cabin Fever or Grapevine, then it's on a whole bunch of bootlegs.
