For those who grew up with Saturday morning cartoons during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, what are your top three favorite cartoon series of each decade on each of the big three networks (ABC, CBS and NBC)?
I was never around in the 1960s, but there are only three cartoons I enjoyed from the 1960s, consolidating all three of the big three U.S. networks:
1. Scooby Doo Where Are You! (CBS) 2. The Hardy Boys (ABC) 3. The Archie Show (CBS)
The 1970s:
ABC:
1. Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels 2. The Funky Phantom 3. Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo
CBS:
1. The New Scooby-Doo Movies 2. Speed Buggy 3. A certain cartoon with Josie and her band (this forum would not allow part of the band's name because it is deemed inappropriate)
Nothing interesting on NBC due to the great abundance of live-action programming that decade.
The 1980s:
ABC:
1. Richie Rich 2. The Little Rascals cartoon spinoff 3. The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show
NBC:
1. The Gary Coleman Show 2. Punky Brewster cartoon spinoff 3. Pink Panther and Sons
CBS:
1. The Get Along Gang 2. The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show 3. Saturday Supercade
What are your favorite Saturday morning cartoon series from each of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, on each of ABC, NBC and CBS?
